PROS:

SKINNY LAPPIN sensational forward & back.....very good forward indeed!

SCOTLAND: leading the blues B&F again. He's a star. Earns every ball he gets; soft or challenged.

FEVOLA Brilliant

HOULIHAN was strong and too smart for any Bumber

THE KIDS Murphs, Walker, Gibbs, Jordan, Bentick...Murphy's such a good pass, and all these kids stood up to the heavy clashes (they've arrived)

WAITE FISHER are bloody hard runners, and scary when both in the forwardline, as we already know. (Still like Waite at CHB or wing). Defence stood up without Waite.

CARROTS ball magnet and getting better

SETANTA I love your blue blood

CLOKE's courage

Our attack at the ball and man in the 2nd half. So much pressure exerted; can be anything if applied for 100 minutes.

Pagan's/ MC's rotations the best ever! Rucks, Midfield, Forwards, Backs all rotated and mixed it up.

Hartlett, Bower, Blackwell Anderson are knocking on the door

CONS:

UMPIRES WERE A DISGRACE

Simmo's 2007 thus far is below 2006 standard. Better in the last 40 minutes though.

Lance got involved and busted a gut, but still needs to find form in 2007

Kennedy is going to get there, but may need a rest from CHF.

Rucks still an issue for me.

Did I mention The Umpires...pathetically biased.

We need to honour good leads, and hit them on the chest.

Pros: Fevola; greatest come back ever; beating Essendon* by a couple of points.
Cons: Umpires; Waite played some dumb football - needs to be smarter.

Pros

Our potential vs theirs.

Take out Skinny at aged 31, Stevo (27), Lance (27), Scotland/Fev (26), eveyone else is 25 or under not to mention our superior youth not in the side today

vs their list of ageing 'stars'; Hird (34), Lloyd (29), Lucas (29), Fletcher (32), Mal the Mercenary (30), M Johnson (29), Peverill the ugly man (28)

get used to owning these softcocks for years to come

Cons

My broken couch after one too many thumps during the 1st half

Pros:

We beat the scum

We beat the scum by less than a goal.

We beat the scum by less than a goal to break their perfect record.

We beat the scum by less than a goal to break their perfect record after being down by 48 points.

Cons:

I didn't get to watch it until the last quarter :x

Pros:
How good was the delivery to Fev on the lead once we'd worked to give him some space to run into. IIRC Fev had 7 of his 8 goals from set shots and I can't recall any one of those marks on the lead giving anyone a sniff at the ball except Fev. Not all were perfectly lace out, but most were and all were to his advantage. Murphy as usual was sublime and Hoops on the left hitting fev in the pocket was champagne football.

Cons:
While these come from behind wins are great character building excercises it's going to get us in toruble more often than not I reckon. Would be nice to just get out there and put in a solid four quarter effort on a consistent basis.

Bentick's effort late in te second quater and after half time was awesome. He may be a little slow but he has learnt to stand up in a tackle and still be able to deliver the ball. He also manages to get a hand to the ball to stop the ball from clearing.

Spot on, thought he was in our best 3 actually.

Lance was good, not dominant but hopefully just the kind of game he needs as a springboard to get out of the slump in the coming weeks.

pros: the experience Setanta got seeing the game's best full foward first hand. Admittedly he was about 200m away for most of the game, but they chatted at half time.

I don't know where people get off saying the Scotland just gets the soft ball. Yes he gets a lot of uncontested footy, because he reads the play well. But when the contested footy needs to be goten or where someone needs to cut across a lead to take a defensive mark - Scotland is your man. Had a great year last year and is continuing on this year. Is a top class midfielder. And definitely not soft. I remember last year people were saying that he was an ok player and than in a good team he wouldnt be a starter. Well I think he is proving that as our team gets better, he will only get better himself and shine out more. Good players only improve as the players around them improve.

I actually thought Whitnall had a fair influence in the 2nd half.

He did some horrible things in the first half, but i agree he did some good things in that second half,i know this will sound odd,but maybe put him on the bench and then play him after the first Quarter at least or after half time when the pace of the game isn't as fast as the start.

Ranbo I don't think it's that bad a suggestion. Just until he runs into his usual form, it might actually be a good idea.

Look at the end of the day, Lance is going through a terrible period in his life off the field. It is affecting his onfield performance. Some supporters like to kick a man while he's down. Others like myself would prefer to support them and be there for them through a difficult time. And that's based on my belief that he deserves it... as he has been a great servant of the club in the past and he is our captain. In addition I have faith in his ability to come back and be a strong contributor to our team.

If Lance didn't believe it was good for him to be out on the field then he would take some time off. But I think it is the best thing for him to be out with his team mates and playing himself back into form. Hopefully when his off field issues are sorted he will play the way we all know he can play.

Leads our hard ball gets in 2006 and again so far in 2007.
