Now I'm not normally a super verbal football supporter, but today I was a touch lippy. Generally in good spirits and mostly self-depreciating, but I copped one of the WORST verbals from a toothless bummers fan I've ever copped post game, which dated back to suggesting that the houlihan push in the back call 'may' have been soft.

"I hope you live in thomastown, and someone sticks a gun through your bedroom window and pulls the trigger tonight"

NASTY!

Which incedentally was my respose, "gee that's a bit nasty".

Made we wonder, what are some of the worst verbals - deserved or otherwise - you've copped at the footy?

That's pretty disgraceful. I haven't heard anything that bad at the footy that I can remember.

I remember the Dons supporters calling us "Wog c*nts" at the 99 Preliminary final during the last quarter.

By god did we dish it back out at the end of the game.

As some sort of disclaimer I'd really said nothing more offensive than 'gee that's a shit decision 28" t o that point. I though it a touch unwarranted

I got called a filthy gingha once. It was worse because I've got black hair. Highly offended.

The best thing I've seen was a verbal slang for 3/4 in a local Ainslie/Queanbeyan match up here. It was just on for young and old. Then they had a punch on at 3/4 time. Tops. Local footy, can't beat it.

Saw a near punch on between 3 bombers fans 10 mins into the last today as well.

Never sat in the ponsford before (since rebuild) and after CK warned me pre-game, I understand why. Kinda cool once the siren went though

EDIT: Also saw a near-punch-on between a huge Essendon* supporter (mind, body and spirit) and a bunch of what I think were teens. No idea what they did to him but then they egged him on afterwards.

Stupidity by all involved, and the 'Dons bloke sounded like he was going to tear them in half with his bare hands if they got near him.

aren't they those things you wear on parole, location trackers? if not then i'd say they're meant for kfc towelettes, it's not technically a shower, but when in collingwood...

today, the first quarter was full of this scum supporter pointing out the scoreboard, end of the game, "hey wanker, that's the scoreboard right?"

A Collingwood fan yelled 'Suck shit Carlton' and stuck a spoon right in my face in 2002 as I was walking outside the ground after they smashed us.

I don't think he'll ever do that to anyone ever again.

If it was early in the game it was a bit unwarranted but he would have been sick of hearing you say that all through the game.
