YOU'RE SHIT Essendon*! Now that that's out of the way.............

PROS:

1. Fev - When he's on, he makes Lloyd look like just a player. Dominant superstar, shudder to think how many goals he would've kicked if he played in the good times (70's, 80's, 90's). Embarrassing MIchael and Fletcher was fun!

2. Courage/mindset - They don't give up these kids. The will to win is impressive. Tackling sensational.

3. Better at the stoppages 2nd half - I haven;t watched enough yet to know who was responsible (I assume Bentick, Murph and Stevens), but we couldn't buy a clearance in the first half (or last week), and turned it around 2nd half.

4. Murphy - nations of the world will one day organize a religion around this man.

5. Thornton - made Lucas eat shit when moved on to him

Special mention - Heath Scotland (has been outstanding - I probably should give him more credit in these posts - superb)

CONS

1. Coaching/Game plan - We bomb the ball to contests whilst every other team in the league kicks to leads. And then when we turn it over kicking into a corwded forward line - BANG - coast to coast. This corrected in the 2nd half with Fev 1 out.

2. Waite CHB - this ain't working. Thornton also is playing terribly when on the 3rd tall. When Thornton went to Lucas and Waite left CHB, everything looked better. This experiment is now under question.

3. Lack of poise at the end - We still shit ourselves and make poor decisions in close games. Waite playing on was the glarer, but also Stevens calling for a handball on his wrong side from Fev. Have some poise - slow it down and win

4. Fev dependent - When he isn't firing we look like Nar Nar Goon 3rds. We have to think about drafting to replace him in the next few years or there will be a hole one day

5. Loose on the rebound! - in the first half when we didn;t have the ball, Essendon* moved the ball between 50 arcs with ease and we were chasing bums. The only times we looked good this year(against Rich and Ess 2nd halves)have been when we have tightened up and forced turnovers in between the 50 arcs.

Special mentions - Kade simpson gotta run harder first half (2nd half better). Lack of leadership in first half (lost our bundle)

Wiggler was a positive as well. He makes the youngun's stand taller with his attack on the footy. There is more to the game than kicks and handballs.

Cloke is earning a spot in my heart as well. Seeing him knock himself senseless in the last two minutes and continually trying to get into the play was all heart.

Yep, how good was Skinny's smother on the goal line to deny Peverill. That was in the thick of the second quarter and was a massive effort. Skinny done good today.

Pros: We WON!!! Scum lost!

Cons: Some people feel the need to turn to club politics less than an hour after our greatest ever comeback. Get over yourselves people, and enjoy the win.

Thought the coaching was a lot better today. With Lance and Kennedy not taking marks across half forward and Waite being beaten by Lucas changes had to be made. Lance to the bench and Waite to half forward Kennedy to the bench and Lappin down forward. Simpson had a shocker in the first half and wasn't going hard enough.

After half time moving Lance onto the ball as a roving ruckman and Stevens to the half forward flank were good moves. Took Peverill out of the centre and let Ackland play CHF after the bounce. Made the Dons change their backline match ups with Michael going to Ackland. I think some words must have been said at half time because Simpson came out a different player after the break. Fletcher playing 10 metres in front of Fev couldn't get back to stop him marking when we kicked the ball to the vacant or fat side. Another very good game by Gibbs. Kennedy just getting experience at present and woudl still like to see him given a run down back.

The younger players will learn that no matter what happens in a game and how far you are behind, never give up. Funny things can happen.

Con's

In the NAB cup and 3 games this year we have allowed teams to get off to a good start and get in front. Can't always comeback.

Well done to Skinny in the second quater for kicking a goal and providing some run. I was one who wnated him dropped. Well done on todays effort.

Bentick's effort late in te second quater and after half time was awesome. He may be a little slow but he has learnt to stand up in a tackle and still be able to deliver the ball. He also manages to get a hand to the ball to stop the ball from clearing.

Setanta's effort was good. I was at the game and would like to know from others if you thought he did well? I can't belive tripple M giving Lloyd one vote and Frwaly actually said he was well beaten by Lloyd.

Fevola is so much better that the soft ^&^^% Lloyd. To prove this just look at Fev's eight goals compared to the way that &*^* stooge got his five. Well done Setanta.

I thought Carrots was good however he was trying to be a little cute in the last quater and wasn't playing the percentages when we were in front.
However he knows how to get the ball.

Jarrod Waite - where do you start, he is an athlete and needs to play on the wing where he can run and make space. I couldn't believe he did not have the vision to see the bumbers player on his tail after he took the mark. There was about a minute to go and he played on - dumb football

The umpires - There is no doubt we were outplayed in the first half but the frees the bombers got and the frees we missed was unbelievable.

Lance is not fit, he did not have a good pre season, let's face it Lance needs a good pre season and needs to be fit to play decent football. He is not fit and needs to be rested. Fought back well in the second half, well done.

Scotland gets a lot of soft dispossals but today he was great and won alot of the hardball. Really controlled the half back line.

Russells run in the last was impressive.

Simpson isn't performing as he was last year however the signs were good late in the game.

JK may need a rest especially if Harts plays well. Then again it may be good to play JK and Bower next week over at Subi.

Look forward to watching the Bullants tomorrow to see who is pressing for a game with the Blues.

I actually thought Whitnall had a fair influence in the 2nd half.

Pros: At various times in the game, everyone played a part and showed good touch.

Cons: A few players got nervous late in the second half but that comes with experience... oh and posts like Rhys26's that are clearly myopic and agenda-ridden.

Pros
Fev - sensational in second half though he always made the Bomber backline rush and get nervous - Great work today Fev never stopped and i tell you he has a lot of speed off the first 10 meters.

Murph - kept us in game early when most of the midfiled where beaten just threw himself into everything all class

Scotland - controlled backline and one of the best games i seen him play used a lot of get put jail in the backline and also protected the Kids - yes gave away a freein first half but least he wsnt goin to let the scum puch Gibbs around.

Santanta - i am so glad he on our side -- he is the mongrel we been missing and dosnt give the opposition an inch and wont take a backward step. I reckon all he wanted to do was take Lloyd out into the car park

May other pros as well - lappin / Stevo second half wiggins to name a few

Cons
Umpire maggot flowers who almost wrecked this game today so one sided so many soft decisions to the Bombers and so many frees to the blues not given..... And VOZZO he is the new Number 1 most hated on my list of Umps 9 frees Bombers / 0 frees blues

Waite - Nearly cost us the match in last 30 seconds should have gone back and taken set shot let the clock wind down and slot the goal ... when he got caught nearly gave the Bombers the final goal.. hopefully someone tells him when less than a minute slow the game down

Yeah I'll also lament the lack of tempo footy.

Not that the Bombers were any better. They play footy at break-neck speed and when it doesn't fall their way they are up shit creek. Very front-runner-esque.

That word needs more hyphens.
