There's a Carlton Surfboard hanging up in a shop on the Sunshine Coast. The owner told me that after a premiership win, the players were presented with boards. Can anyone verify this story?
The front shows the 33/97 CFC monogram, with some blue striping, and the rear features a WEG-esqe illustration with the signature - "Keith Halford '80". This fact would tie it to the 1979 grand final win.

Maybe it was Jezza's. He probably had no need for it during summer of 79.

I'd take a guess and say it's the guy who drew the illustration in 1980.

He designed surf clothing by the looks of it. I suppose he was a carlton supporter, or it was commissioned by one.

The MYSTERY is solved. I found THE Keith Halford....
Here is his explanation....

"Hi John,
Yes, you have found him!!....that was a bit of a surprise to see that old board turn up again!
That board was a "one off" for an avid Carlton fan, I can't remember his name after 27 years!? but the board probably looks in better nick than I do!
I am no longer airbrushing Surf Boards, technology has taken over and we now digitally print some amazing designs on Boards.
Maybe we can do some Promo Boards or T-Shirts for the Club if they ever need them!?
Feel free to contact me any time.
Thanks and best regards,
Keith Halford
