Possibly the worst post i have ever read on here... and there has been some shockers

Its no secret i love Lance... but gee everyone settle down, if he is injured as we hear he maybe then yeah id give him a few weeks off to get right, but just to drop him would destroy the little confidence he has. Relax its round 2 and yes he has been woeful all season ( including NAB cup )... thats for sure... but he will come good, he has to.

He loves playing Essendon*... this could be the turning point. Must be played forward and our midfielders have to be told to kick to open players not only to Fev.

I think a petition should be started to omit Lance from the team.

Obviously the rank and file supporters have no rights - we have to turn up to the game and accept watching the Carlton brand being dragged through the mud. That is our lot - or we can take action. At least with a petition we are putting pressure on the clowns in charge to do what we all know is right. Or do some people still believe Lance should be selected this week?

Can someone at least start up a poll....

Anyone interested in starting a petition to have 'tap in 79' omitted from TC. Count me in.

Regards Cazzesman

I'm in.. it would only be a good start though!

Lets just sack the entire coaching staff and run the team by SMS vote on the big screen. You'll be able to vote if Waite should be moved forward at half-time, if Bentick is looking a little tired and needs a rest 23mins into the 2nd qtr.

Of course we'll have to employ someone to decide which moves we'll have the power to decide and we'll only be able to make 2 moves a quarter as it'll take that long to get all the votes in.

How many points do you believe Essendon* will beat Carlton by this week?

-16 points

its bad enough that Essendon* supporters are jumping on the bangwagon of their team, don't need our own :)

Whitnall normally plays well against Essendon*.... but this game has to be his last chance to do something!

next week a petition for Lappin perhaps

yeh mate i like many otheres would like to see only our strongest team out on the park every week, and lance certainly isnt a part of our strongest team right now.

but i wouldnt sign a petition to drop him.

we all know something has gotta give. either lance will find form or coaching staff will make a decision on their own if there is no improvement in the next few weeks.

Democracy means that we can respond in kind as far as I understand the concept. Correct me if I'm wrong by all means.

Cut him some slack, he's obviously injured.

As for petitions, bring back the sack Pagan one because that joker really needs to go.

Ok so Whitnall is playing a great load of lard at the moment. Do you honestly think he is solely responsible for the "thrashing" we copped last week? FFS get a grip. We are an ordinary side. Geez, the way a lot of you carry on, you would think that the influx of a couple of young kids was going to be a total carthasis for the whole club playing wise and we were never going to be beaten. Geelong as a team thumped us as a group of individuals. Who do you blame? The coach (and coaching staff) and the players both collectively and individually.
Lance is obviously not up to scratch at the moment (one of footytalk.com.au's N.U.T.S) and he should be dropped until he finds some form - if he ever does. But to blame the bloke solely for what happened Saturday night is asinine.
EVERY player bar two or three need to take a good hard look at how they were beaten by their opponents on the night. Geelong are a VERY skillful and quick side who have matured a lot of the off-season both in their outlook and their skill level. They outplayed us in every aspect of the game, including the intimidation factor.
Fair enough, jump on Whitnall for having a crappy start to the year. I am a Whitnall supporter but I am not even going to try to make excuses for his poor form. I just hope he can pull his finger out in time to make a contribution to the team. IF he doesn't, so be it, but for crying out loud, attest the blame where it belongs and that is spread evenly over 18 blokes.
Are you going to bag Setanta because Mooney kicked a few on him? No. What about getting stuck into Thornton for being completely showed up by Nathan Ablett? No. Why not? They are all to blame.

This post should be removed and that goes for petitions on any player to be dropped fancy wanting to petition droping a player even Lance goin through a rough trot

As many have said he may need to be rested or given time off to sort himself out but to run a petition is just a joke ... i think i prefer Cazz,s petition :-D

if he continues to struggle i am hoping and would make sense for the club to let Lance have a break.
