Synbad, why take a dump on a post of good intention with negativity unproductive?
It wasn't a good intentions post, he basically said Synbad and others aren't real supporters because of their reaction to the loss. Said they are not REAL supporters and made him crook in the guts, well that's how I felt watching that insipid display on Saturday night.
Any Carlton supporter felt crook seeing Carlton go down against Geelong like we did but it's the way we react as a club. There is a sub-culture of knee-jerk at the moment amongst the grass root that is really disturbing, and it harks back to our modern demise as a power house.
Has the club not moved forward on the field for 2007 towards the future? Have we not made inroads politically
beyond that? Read the original post Game. There was no mention of Synbad specifically or 'other supporters' sic, (of Carlton).
The dismay was at the level of negativity that is levelled at the club's name by apparent supporters on this site because of the loss. He was just trying to bolster against the loss without totally spewing on the jumper like a stack of main board posters seem to think is the correct courtesy affected to our great club. At least serve the players with the respect they desreve. They play for each other outside of the decisions which some here think they have intricate knowledge of. None of us do unless we play alongside Murph and co.
They know the crack.
FFS, the first quarter and a half was fantastic footy- but we were not up to it mentally on the night, and if we were, we may have physically got to within 5 goals, (That, however,
is a personal opinion.)
The final margin was far from flattereing, BUT, it's round 2 of the season 2007. Don't get so crook that you can't see navy from bloody blue because of one result, as we are on the rise and
need momentum on and off, (
AND online). If we can see the faults, and we have hard administration now in place- do you think they are proud of Saturday? It's early on in Pratt's reign.
I can't say I was technically happy with the direction on Saturday either, but either Pagan is playing the boys to a plan, (let's not get into that one on here), or I'm a genius until next week when we smash the Bombers.
