Did anyone else catch the footage on Fox Footy Central of Scotland turning up late to the recovery Saturday then trying to apologise to Pagan?

Dennis was not a happy camper

He should apologise for the game he played on Friday night.

geez, what happening with Heath?
things like that only intensify the disappointment in what he has delivered this year. let's hope it was a geniune excuse, not just because he was lazy or careless

It was written up in the Age ...something along the lines of " Health Scotland arrived as the Blues were breaking up from their address by Pagan for their recovery..."

It was implying that there was something else to say ...but didn't go there...you wonder if it was sub-edited out??

Heath's contribution this year seems to fit very well with the comments Sellers made on saturday on 3LO, a reject who played very well in his first year, but was always going to be exposed in his second.

Last year Scotland got his hands on the ball first, and ran ahead of the ball. Remeber his goals - particularly against Collingwood! not so this year.

Is he carrying an injury?

Or is he just not up to the consistancy demanded in AFL?

I wonder whether the certainty of his position has served to remove that edge (fear) from his game. Perhaps he should become our "Cupido"!

he's been very dissapointing this year. it's a a shame because i like him as a player.

i think he needs a run in the reserves to spur him on.

The past 3 games Scotland has played HBF or back pocket.
As far as I know, he was recruited as a midfielder. :?

He is like 21 other blokes who played Friday night.
Devoid of confidence and belief in themselves, each other and the role they are playing.

Maybe Denis is trying to teach Scotland some defensive skills and be accountable for a player so when he does play in the midfield he remembers that he has an opponent to look after when we don't have the ball.

Come to think about it, maybe the whole midfield and forward line should play in the backline... Oh, thats called flooding :D

Good to teach Scotland some defensive mindset. My major criticism of him is that he goes sidewyas a lot, rather than buying into the long and direct style. He finds enough of the footy though and generally disposes well.

his output has been disappointing this year, but i think the second half of last year wasn't much better. he was carrying an ankle injury back then so he was largely excused.

hard to work out what his role is this year. either denis has lost faith with him as a midfielder or he's trying to get him to develop a defensive game.

either way, like everyone has said, he's playing with little confidence and poor body language.

i don't think denis has forgiven him the suspension! remember wayne schwass?

His disposal skills are good and he is a good frontrunner...but he isnt a defender as he showed v Geelong. Needs to be on the end of a Kouta handpass or playing wide and being the last link in the chain before giving it lace out to Fev...

Problem is we've got tons of those players....actually...give it to me in the clear and I can probably deliver well too!
ALL the players need to be
1) good deliverers os there are no turnovers
2) good defenders so that when there is the inevitable turnover they have got their man covered or can bottle it in place so that the ground gained isn't lost.....

That's why I'm loving Eddie Betts!
