Tadgh had a Gaelic football background which I think has helped him make the transition much better than either Setanta or Aisake will given their Hurling backgrounds.
And that is the BIG difference
Horsewallop- Ok Tadhg is from kerry which is a traditional footballing county and his old man was a fantastic player. Aisake has played football at the same level that tadhg did before he left. Just because the Ó hAilpÃn boys are more famous for their hurling does't mean they weren't good footballers back home. I have played against Aisake for 6 years and he was a pain in the behind to mark. He is quick and even though a bit awkward was fairly accurate. as well as playing intercounty hurling for cork he played minor football as well.

Setanta was also a menace in the local Cork County Football Championships. He was well known for getting goals for Na Piarsaigh.
O’Donovan Rossa 0-17 , Na Piarsaigh 1-9
This quarter-final of the tsb championship in a packed Clonakilty on Saturday evening last provided some great entertainment for the huge attendance and the standard was top-class all through. It was an unusual game in many ways as there wasn’t a kick of a ball between the sides for fifty minutes, with the sides level on no less than seven occasions.A lightning fast goal in the very first minute by super-star, Setanta Ó hAilpÃn, signalled the intentions of the city men and even though they were to score only one single point during the next twenty three minutes, they played some very good football in patches.
A lot of people here reckoned that before he went under that setanta would have done better than half the forward on the cork team in football. Sean Óg played in the All Ireland Football Final in 1999 V Meath but gavce up football to concentrate on hurling.
All of the Ó hAilpÃns would be concidered to be very good footballers over here anyway so it's not like they weren't very good footballers before they went down under.
