i don't think last week indicates where we are as a team.....everything went wrong...the ball didn't bounce our way....all that crap and so on...

how we bounce back from a loss like that will show us more where we're at than round 2....if the young guys can learn from it...

in 2004 we showed enormous character coming out to win the week after some heavy losses....

That's the right approach IS. Especially so with a young talented team that has won 5 in a row, as well as coming from behind to win.

I remember 2004 very well. This team of kids have shown a lot of character too.

Essendon* won't be beating alot of teams this year.

there bottom 6 or so players in their team are still shit and that shows up over 22 Rounds.

Being super quick doesn't help you if you dont get first use of the ball in the middle or we dont turn over the ball easily moving forward.

Totally agree with IS, we always have to expect that we are going to take a few hits along the way, even though it was a bit of a bigger hit than anyone would have hoped for. What's important is how we regroup and act upon it as a team.

I can't accept these regular thumpings as being part of football because they're not, they're only a part of football at Carlton.
