I was wondering that myself earlier in the week, although I was thinking more along the line of: when was the last time Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon* were all in the eight at the same time?

We've started every year third on the ladder since Adelaide joined the AFL!! Sensibly, though, this is the only answer I don't have

The closest we came to this was R16 last year when we drew with the scum and the filth won against the Weagles .. but before that it was R11 2004
