Be grouse if that didn't include yesterday's signings. The tent seemed to be doing pretty brisk trade and that was before the great result.

Fev me too. Ours will be the most popular of "away" jumpers i reckon.

Heard them say in the shop that they should be in next week or so

I've had mine for months :P

A white singlet that you've drawn the monogram on doesn't count. :P

The official one. I've been wearing it all summer, I think I've washed it, possibly, would have to think about it.

I think we ll reach record figures for sure, especially if we can get on a bit of a role and win our next two games...imagine being 3-0 after Round Three.. unheard of in the last 5 or so years

after 8 rounds we could easily be 5-3 (games against Brisbane, Essendon*, Kangaroos, and Collingwood in this time)..get these numbers and we'll get a record for sure.

I went past the membership tents about quarter to 5 and there were about 5 people in the Richmond line and about 50 in total lined up at the Carlton one in 2 lines. It brought a smile to my face ;)

Jeez................looking at that, the interstate clubs are just gonna get richer whilst the Victorian teams will struggle.

I'm not sure how the memberships work all that well but............Let's use West Coast as an example.
Alot of people move from Perth to melbourne and will continue to follow the Eagles. Now if the Eagles come over to Melbourne to play at least 8 times (to play each Victorian team) then it's worth those people buying a membership.

If your a Victorian who moves interstate, you'r lucky to maybe see one (Sydney & Brisbane) game a year or at the very most 2 (SA & WA). Kinda not worth it really?

Just got an email from the club about THE CARLTON SHOP NEW STORE OPENING AT MC LABOUR PARK next Wednesday which included this:

"29,000 members have signed up with us in 2007 but there are still over 7,000 members from last year who are yet to renew. We need all our Members to sign up and stand with us in 2007"

That means we have signed up a lot of new members so to those 7,000 who have not renewed, DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the thousands that didn't renew from previous years.......

If you know someone who hasn't renewed, encourage them to do so sooner rather than later (better value for money   )

This is where the club is at fault. I think it was Stephen Moulton who came on TC requesting supporters to volunteer their time by making calls to lapsed members. I know people who put their hand up. Then he comes on saying we don't need people anymore because they have engaged a telemarketing company. I just wonder is all this happening. If people have put their hand up the club should follow through with it.

You never know what talent is sitting in your own backyard.

We are using a telemarketing company to assist with lapsed members. Membership has received enormous focus from this board. I know that 7000 lapsed members seems a huge number but the
standard number each year across all clubs is 20 - 25%. Unfortunately it is the nature of club membership. Not everyone shares the passion of others so when their personal circumstances change their club membership is one of the first things to go. Sometimes it's financial but often it is due to other factors - kids now play sport on weekends, have had kids who are too young to go, job change, poor team performance - the list is endless.
