Over fifty nine thousand people went to see Carlton v Richmond, just imagine how many more people would have been at the game if the Melbourne City Council dint open the car park too early because of the swimming, as a lot of cars have been turned back because they closed the car park too early because it got full just because of the swimming and people got caught in a traffic jam because of it as well.

I got into the car park at just after 9:15 this morning. Managed to get a spot just outside gate 3. Lots of people for the Walking with Dinosaurs. When I got back from the Storm game, found my car surrounded by 20m of nothingness as those had moved off home. Meanwhile, my mate was stuck driving around trying to find a way in. All gates closed. At least 50 car spaces were around my car alone.

Mate ended up heading home after 90mins driving to the ground, and a further hour driving around it. I know PT would have been his best bet, but still bad management.

They stuffed that up as well. Cancelled the train in on the hurstbridge line at the time most people would be going to the game. It meant 40 minutes between trains and in the end the next train got so full that people just couldn't get on at all. The train was leaving people behind on the platform.
