Great news.

I can't believe how much our fortunes have changed over the last couple of months.

I heard that Bruce Mathieson wasnt there last night and is willing to tip in at least a 6 figure sum when he is able to attend a fund raiser.

Most of really big Carlton money was not there, and they still raised $2M. Top effort.

Bruce M was a great servant as a Board Member (dipped in to his pockets several times when all was gloom) Bruce is a great man and has and will give plenty more for our club.

Measly $2m!

I think a great way for the Club, Smorgon, Pratt etc to really put the past behind us is for Smorgon to make a nice sizeable contribution (was he there?) and for Pratt to trumpet that publicly as a great gesture.

Wouldn't that be nice?

Another $150K in the kitty today. Two contributions - 1 from someone who wasn't even invited, heard about the new "Presidents Circle" coterie and wants in, another from an attendee last night who wants his contribution to be anonymous.

There were probably about 5 or 6 "serious" Carlton people who were unable to attend last night who we intend to catch up with over coming weeks.

And one final note to close off the preseason - our Presidents function is sold out for Sunday with a waiting list of 20. 520 will be in attendance. I am reliably informed by someone who should know that this hasn't happened even for Anzac Day clashes. At $375 a head - you can do the maths.

Now for the footy.......lots of Blues members, lots of cash paying Richmond supporters and hopefully a win.

Unbelievable turnaround of fortunes for our club....Thanks for the info Mark.

That's it, Mrs C!

I don't care if it's just one point this Sunday, all I want is the win so we can keep on pressing forward.

Maybe Parko wants to come back to the good guys.

A part of our list problems between 2002-2005 were coz of him and his dud recruiting.

He's still a multiple premiership coach with us....i'll always love him...i'll live happily scapegoating Demetriou and Wayne Jackson for our problems hahaha

Well John Elliott predicted all this will happens if Smorgon was to be defeated and just about everyone laughed at him, in my opinion John Elliott was always a legend regardless what anyone else thinks, his heart is all Carlton, just like Joseph Guttnick was to Melbourne then later all he got back was a kick in the guts.

On SEN, Swann was quoted as saying he's been to many a Collingwood fund raiser and has never ever seen anything like what went on last night.

Well the main idea for a Collingwood Fundraiser would be breaking into Raheen not being invited there.
