...you have nothing to say, no gossip to spread, individual or unique thoughts to share and you know there is no new news to read up on yet the first game of the season is still days away and you check in to TalkingCarlton every hour or so - just to check.

haha i just thought of ANOTHER one...

I missed my formal's in year 10 and 11 (sure they're not the important ones but still...) because in 2004 i went to rnd 22 Carlton Collingwood, and in 2005 i went to our victory over Hawthorn at Telstra Dome...and even last year with my Year 12 formal was on the first saturday of the split round, well not knowing we were playing on the second saturday night of the round i told my girlfriend (who conveniently goes for the Kangaroos anyway) that we're going to the footy instead... well we found out they're different dates anyway so the Formal was great but we lost the next week.

My wife who has a moderate interest in football has the Carlton fixture set out in her diary and arranges social engagements around it.

I have a Carlton Monogrammed watch.

I have Carlton pics on my laptop, PC, and Bat Phone.

We videotape every game and I keep most of them ((losses included) for yonks. Taped over the 99 prelim by mistake.

I wear Navy blue as much as possible.

My wife enroled in a pottery class and made me a Navy Blue coffee cup with a white CFC monogram. 8)

My wife made a CFC inspired mural for my office.

I have a Carlton badged footy which has never seen grass.

The last 3 numbers of my Bat Phone are Simpson, Kennedy & Whittas and I been trying to get it changed to Walker, Murphy & Kennedy.

I always check the updates on the Membership Tally.

People text me first to check if they can ring in case our game is on delay. Talking about our game is death by a thousand cuts particularly if they know the score and we haven’t seen the game yet!

I drive past the Visy Offices in Brisbane and yell out “Go Dickâ€

When your fitness aim is to look as good in a Carlton jumper as Lance Whitnall or you get the missus to don said Carlton jumper to 'spice' things up in the bedroom.......

When you remender back to your childhood and most of the best times you spent with your father were at the footy at Princes Park

When breaking your cheekbone on a wooden seat on the second level of the Pratt Stand - because Captain Carlton was kicking those mini footballs up and your 5 year old son wanted one of those footballs and you lost awareness of where you were waiting for the ball to drop into your arms and tripped over the seat in front of you and smashed your face into the wooden rail in front of you and the ball spilled from your hands and rolled towards this matronly lady knitting Carlton scarf who you thought was going to give the ball to your 5 year old son but put the ball into her bag - and you spent the next half hour trying not to cry with pain, and then laughing because Ground Maintenance came along to repair the wooden rail in front of you that you had broken with your cheekbone.

When you went to your first ever game (when you were a little kid) and it was Carlton vs Fitzroy, and you didn't recognise any players, and you couldn't see big Nick, and your father who'd never been interested in the footy said he was worried because there didn't seem to be enough people at Princes PArk, and it wasn't till after half time that you realised that it was the Under 19s and the real game was at Brunswick Street.................
and from underneath the tears you still yelled out :.....

when your locker combinations are after your favorite players guernsey numbers i.e 1425.

when you buy new couches and obviously the color is navy blue

your display pictures on MSN are strictly Carlton related

and obviously as mentioned before you visit TC 1,000,000 times a day

when you make sure you're ordering the right procedure on the right patient by remembering the Carlton player that corresponds to their bed number.

Today we've got "bed lappin needs a gallbladder ultrasound".

You know you're a Carlton tragic when...

you know you're a carlton tragic when extended family have children and you're at the hospital within minutes with a carlton jumper for the baby.

Ouch. How many years of therapy did it take to over this?
