Fev did a full session at training this morning - including plenty of twisting and turning and he looked fine - with only a narrow strapping beneath the knee.

I doubt he would have done a full session if there was anything seriously wrong.

:?

I thought he looked slow off the mark and increasingly frustrated RR.

Lets hope he's right to go because Fev drops his bundle very quickly when things are'nt in his favour.

lets hope they dont go down the line of playing him when he is injured.

Who could forget last time that happened. Sore groins leaning on the fence.

No Way ! if he isnt right dont play him.

I doubt that. Team won't be finalized until Fri night. I'd be amazed if Fev isn't named but we won't know for certain he's playing until they run out at 5pm Sun.
Thanks BW .. saves me $1.60!!

I'm a little bit surprised by the amount of people getting so alarmed by the possibility of Fev being out injured.

Sure, he is vitally important member of our squad and clearly in our best handful of players. However, we have a list of kids now where we can embrace the opportunity afforded them if a guy like Fev does not play. Kennedy can get some time as the key forward, Lance could float in the F50 allowing someone like Bower some solid game time in defence.

Injuries happen, and so long as we have kids developing and maturing as a group, missing the likes of Fevola won't actually be all that bad until we're playing regular finals football. While we're still enjoying the journey to that stage we shouldn't lose too much faith over the odd injury or two.

Not for Pagan, if we collect another Wooden Spoon, the club will point the finger for failure and some one will cop it. If we only win the same amount of games or a couple more without the Fev, i be suprised if the club
renew his contract even thou his major players were hurt.

Thanks Thomas...know what you mean about the syllables...

Mind you, if Fev misses games, it might be...

I've got picks 1 and 2 again this year.

Works well that.

Oh No we going to be the team With all the top draft picks that can't get of the bottom,it's about time we started to move away from that.

It reminds me of the old 'Goodies' sketch, just insert the words 'Carlton supporters' -

"and that's what we usually find; most ................ are too stupid to know a good thing when they see it"

Fev said tonight on the footy show it's a small tear beneath the capsule ( :? ) & the only trouble it gives him is it hurts for about a minute after he lands when jumping...

Hey... sorry for the pessimism but....

The club is saying there is no issue, "its only bruising!"
Fev comes out on Footy Show and say he has a "small tear"

Why the differing stories???

Sounds to me like the club is trying to keep things dark whilst Fev is fullfilling his channel 9 "obligations" and giving them the exclusives.

am i being paranoid????

Yes, yes you are.

The tear can't be that be that big if they didn't initially pick it up. Plus knees are about as structurely sound as the body gets; they have to be.

Without knowing anything more, I'd say it's probably similar in magnitude to tweaking your hamstring (i.e. a small tear) and resting a week, save for the fact that in this case the rest of your knee can easily take up the slack. Part and parcel of the game.

Pagan's analogy of bruising was an apt one.
