so he might be OK, might need a clean up (3 weeksish), might be out for the season. So really it could be anything and we're all guessing. All we know for sure is it's sore.

I guess we will know how sore at about 4.00pm on Sunday.

Our 2007 improvement wont be necessarily reflected in matches won.

If Fevola is out, other players will come into the side - and get better.

We mightnt win those matches - but we will end up with greater depth.

The potential is now at the club to do this - where in the time after 2002 - it wasnt.

I hate to say this but without Fevola,i can't see us winning much games or any, if the worst case he was out of the season as the team is still inexperience.

The only saving grace will be a Full Forward who could step up straight away, someone like Fisher or even Whitnall or a long shot Kennedy who can kick 70 goals, there while guys like Hartlett and Cloke do very well in the forward line.

If he puts ice on it (not the Ben Cousins version) but the cold version and rests up for a while he should be ok.

Just modify his training a bit.

You’re all freaking me out!!! Is their any possibility that it might be the year?
I think he did it first in the NAB SF against the roos. Towards the end of the game he marks on a fast lead and tumbles over and gets up and reaches for the side of his knee, just towards the back of the knee. This would suggest medial ligament territory. The year would indicate the ACL which it doesn’t appear it is as the MRI would pick 99% of times.

Please no, not the FEV!!!

very nervous about this, it's easy to say that this is a devlopment year etc etc but I can't stand the thought of the beltings we would get without Fev in the team

They had a snippet with Pagan on SEN news and he completely dismissed any suggestion of surgery and was adamant the Fev will complete today’s training session and will play on Sunday. I hope there is some veracity in his words and its not just smoke and mirrors crap!!!

If it's worst case scenario and Fev's out for the year (which he is not) I think we are actually in a fairly good position to cover him.

Not that you can replace the Fev, but with no Fev the opposition will not know who we are going to. Options are:
Kennedy
Whitnall
Hartlett
Betts (in the Brad Johnson FF mould)
Fisher
Ackland/Cloke as resting rucks.
Edwards as a fast lead up forward.
even Waite can go forward again for short stints.

While I don't think any of these listed guys can win a game off their own boot like Fev, they would certainly be able to rack a score up between them.

It would appear Fev trained this morning and Kouta should be back sooner rather than later

Hey Bluey there are other threads addressing his injury which keeps changing from a few weeks to nothing to 12 months.

This morning it was stated that it was a nothing injury [bruising only] and that he is right to play.

Where and when did you hear this?

Please respond in the appropriate thread.

I spose we'll all know come
a) Thursday night when they name the team/s
b) Friday morning in the paper

I have never wanted to camp out front of a newsagent so much before this! Just the sniff of a win, the chance that Richo and Fevs will be out .. both will make a huge difference on the face of the game .. if Richo is out, we don't get to see Carlos at his best, but we shouldn't have that much of an issue back there .. if Fevs is out, we'll take this match to blood some of our rookies, and further develop some of our other goal options: Eddie, Fish, and of course Murphs, and Bryce!

Why can't it be Friday?!Warum kann es nicht Freitag sein?

Everyone on this site is obsessed with Friday! Hehe.

Me, I can't wait for 5pm Sunday - why did they have to stick us as late as they possibly could in Round 1, the nerves will build starting from the first bounce on Friday when I see the other teams go.

Bring it on!

I doubt that. Team won't be finalized until Fri night. I'd be amazed if Fev isn't named but we won't know for certain he's playing until they run out at 5pm Sun.
