Cos the last cpl of presidents were too busy blaming other people instead of doing the right thing and dragging the factions back together.
Cos Smorgon was ot big on contributing money so why would anyone else?
So if you dont believe and have confidence in your own abilities to make things happen.. why would anyone else???

If that had been made public then would could have saved our selves an ugly election campaign - Cant understand why Pratt just didn't nominate for the Board . there were whispers for 6-8 months but nothing concrete

Nobody is going to have a shit fight at that end of Collins street.
Especially between two prominant families like the Pratts and the Smorgons.
I think what was illustrated is what a 'can do' president can do.

Synbad I have a curious question.

I wonder if Smorgan still thinks he still the best man for the job?

8) The reason is that Collins was/is an absolute jerk whose only interest was in bagging Elliot and getting us to the Telstra Dome. He couldn't give 2 hoots about the Club and in his time as President spent most of the time whinging and downgrading our image, as well as alienating most of our influential supporters and backers. He was turfed out and good riddance to him.

Smorgan, on the other hand tried hard but had the people skills of a rock troll and had no idea how to manage a board. How many leaks do we hear now the King Dick is in charge.

We are on the way back on all those clowns that have spent time bagging our great club will soon be eating their words. Go the BLues!!! :-D :-D

Bloody oath we're on the way back and you can just see opposition fans cursing that they'll no longer be able to laugh at us..
The reason people are cursing is that while we ve been down, no other Victorian club has achieved sh*t in terms of trophies (we're still the most successfull Victorian club trophy wise over the last 5 years).
Fun's over boys.. its time for the Blue Baggers to lay the smack down (no pun intended Mr. Cousins and friends haha :P )

Pratt could have so easilly written a cheque to the NAB & cleared us of any and all debts.................but he hasn't!

I LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM!

Smartest business man in Australia!

Instead he is persisting with a plan that will see us clear our debts but more importantly secure our future so that this kind of crap will not happen again.

Sir Richard is doing a great job and I thank him for all his efforts.

He may end up being the most important person to have represented this club in over 100 years.

There is still so much to do in terms of the debt, but what a great start.
