They are opening up the merchandise, membership areas to an open plan format.
There is also quite a bit of painting etc happening throughout the site.

I'd love a revamp of the social club. Somewhere that's cool and cozy to go and have a beer whilst watching an interstate game or see the boys train!

The Social Club is undergoing a general refurb. New carpets, paint, fixtures etc. The entrance is being totally revamped to make it more functional and also to make our merchandise shop more of a feature. The Numa room upstairs is also getting a facelift. Many of the offices are also getting a facelift including airconditioning and other basic comforts.

This all obviously precedes the commencement of construction for our new Elite Training Facilities which we hope will commence later this year.

And most importantly, Foxtel is being connected to MCLP so members can watch matches at the social club.

Cheers

Mark

Went to MC labour park merchandise shop yesterday to buy my 5yo her first CFC jumper before next weeks game and the place was closed, just workers going about their stuff. Its all coming together. Wife was upset and said that at least a sign could have been put up.

Ended up at Faraday street and got 1 there, the smile on her face and other patrons in the shop when she ran to mirror to see herself in her over sized footy jumper - priceless. Then told her we had to get a number for the back of her new jumper and she wanted number 5 because of her age but I said no we are getting number 3 for Marc Murphy. After a bit of convincing her she finally warmed up to the idea and number 3 it was. :-D :-D :-D

That's great news.............cheers mark.

Could i make a suggestion re:- the Training Centre.
(i'm probably gonna cop some flack for this but i'd like to suggest it anyway)...................................
But seeing as thou this is most likley his final season & he has been one of the greatest players to ever pull on the Navy Blue Jumper, not to mention one of the most athletic players ever, would we consider naming the Traning Centre in Kouta's honour.

I know, i know...............i love the bastard so damn much but jeez, we need to honour this guy in some way and i couldn't think of a better way than to have 'The Anothoy Koutoufides Fitness Centre'?

It just fits doesn't it?

I agree Kouta has been a magnificent contributor at CFC for years and he deserves appropriate recognition. It is too early to speculate on naming rights for the new training facilities but I think the Club needs to be thinking more corporately - along similar lines to the Lexus Centre. The lease at PP is one of our key assets and must be used to our best advantage.

Re Kouta, we have already established a new family friendly match day coterie named the Anthony Koutoufides Club and we will also be holding Kouta's testimonial dinner later in the year.

Nice one - but I would have stuck hard with the 5 myself.
