Things are really falling into place for us! Once the Princes Park redevelopment works are complete we will once again be the envy of the other Victorian clubs.

Never occurred to me.

I sorted the thread title to make it like Captain Obvious wrote it ... I was surprised there wasn't a thread announcing Swann's appointment ... when in fact, there was!

Hmm I wouldn't call about 3 billion dollars in the bank (versus nothing) to be a subtle difference.

Great article, but really, Tony Jones is such a tosser...

Quote:
Footnote: Tony Jones is an avid Collingwood supporter with a deep dislike of the Carlton football club. He, like every other Magpie fan, is counting down the days to that round seven contest. He's not only looking forward to singing the Collingwood club-song, but Carlton's "Swann song".

I think Greg Swann wanted to know what it feels like to be at a club that wins a premiership. He is only a week late. ;)

Collingwood Round 7 - Who cares? Swann will be with Carlton in Round 8, Round 9, Round 10, Round 11, Round 12..... BWAHHAAHAAHAAAAR :-D

This sums it up, the brown-nosing Eddie lover...

Anyway, first Balmey and now Swanny - the wheels may be falling off the Lexus...

You can say that but it really is a very good article in terms of him showing his allegiance, right up until the last paragraph!!! Make no mistake this really hurts them...pretty much the last building block is in place...roll on Round 1!!!

P.S If the other clubs werent taking us seriously yesterday, they will tomorrow. This may have the potential to take Cousins off the back pages!!! We are back!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if this was done with Eddies cooperation and blessing. Collingwood are in a strong enough position that Swann's talents aren't fully utilised.

Just like Pratt consulted Frank Costa re: Brian Cook I'm not sure Pratt would have gone behind Eddi'es back to recruit Swann.

Say what you want about Eddie, his priority and love for Collingwood certainly rests first, but I think he believes in a strong competion and strong opposition....even the hated enemy.

I would suggest this could be the case.

I reckon Geoff Walsh's arrival might have had something to do with it too.

Not saying Swann was bitter, just that he was probably keen for a new challenge.

Good get for Carlton, great service to Collingwood.

I hope he eats shit and dies.

Three major differences

Pratt doesn't have an ego the size of the grand canyon

Pratt actually asks others their opinion and listens to the answers.

Pratt doesn't feel the need to be the centre of attention and/or Mr Dial a Quote.

This killed me ....

I feel a bit betrayed by this. Is it just me?

First order of business, get the kids who live with him out of his reach.

If Daisy gets poached like Cole, this time i actually will be pissed.

This guy actually thought the poaching of Cole by Sheedy was bad for the Pies. WTF????????

That's like Synbad thinking the loss of Campo to the Bombers was a disaster for CFC :P :P :P :P :P

This is great. A collingwood person defecting to Carlton because he had a better offer! The tide is turning! What a great week for the club!

That puntroadend link is interesting...I remember reading it a while back and though "yeah...right-o"

But it seems that some goon over there was in the know...

Oh well, stiff shit...he seems like a nice enough bloke.

I wouldn;t go overplaying the "Collingwood and Eddie must be bleeding" sentiment, though. I reckon that's looking for positives that aren't really there at the moment.

There is comensurable replacements already at the club without recruiting just yet.

You're right ADP. I dont think they're bleeding. This has probably been in the works for sometime...before the Walsh appointment.

Internal strife at the Carringbush.

Had the opportunity to find out that there are some internal shennanigans festering inside the administration at Maggotwood.

Eddie playing the "passive avoidant" President, away in Sydney, has given opportunity to a particular member of his executive to do a little bit of "alleged" empire building.
The tactics of this person has been alleged to be conspiratorial, abusive & organisationally destructive.
This has seen the departure of some employees already.

If one listened to a bird's voice, it might give a hint to who this "alleged" bully is.

All I can say is, "Isn't it great to see the Maggies self-destruct."
