That post just showed you up for what you really are Synbad, I won't say it cause I am more scared of Mrs C then your vile pessimism. I note that you wouldn't, couldn't put up your own list. Why is that, inablity to think for yourself?

Because its a ridiculous exercise BM. Alot of those players wont be there and others will be at the club.
Thats why i wouldnt engage in a ridiculouse exercise.. thats all hypothetical and you are advocating Fev to get the same money as Lance next year and with Campo on 400k...

Show me next years list and ill break up the cake for you....
Mate if you call that an intellectual exercise youre a funny boy....

Lift your game BM. I know you dont like swap cards as you put it but i cant be expected to construct an 'intellectual exercise' within foolish confines.

Fev should be on the same as Gehrig and Lloyd. Notice how Lloyd hasn't been as good in a poor team. Gehrigs career turned around in the 2nd half of 2003 as the super talented young saints stared to come on. I honestly believe at a top club he could become one of the greatest goalkickers the game has seen.

Can we keep Fev for $350k pa when another club is offering almost double for him to walk?

Will Lance get jealous Fev might be signing for the same money?

What will happen to our unpaid 10ish players, will they join Centrelink and live in a Ministry of Housing home?

Are these players not getting what they expected joining a professional AFL club???

Will Collo really pay Campo (a 31 year old wingman )$400k next year???

Will Campo crack the shits and feel insulted??

I'd offer Campo $50k and say "like it or lump it", and then take any deal we can for him

ditto Whitnall

sorry, but I'm in the "our leaders don't lead" camp.

I hope we trade Camporeale.... for anything

Synbad, the thread is about what indivivual posters would and would not pay/trade. I know you like to rubbish and pour scorn on anything and anyone you disagree with. But we would like to know what you would pay and who you would trade, not some rubbish about 'inside reality' if you genuinely know then share the knowledge. Otherwise one can assume you are just 'piss and wind.'

Even an 'old' softie like me listed who I would delist and trade. How about you?

Gentlemen, If you cant say anything nice to each other then spare the rest of us please.

Please vent your anger at more appropriate targets:

Eddie McGuire
Lindsay Lohan
Missy Higgins
Darryl Sommers

and so on, disagreeing is fine - bickering does nobody any favours.

Dont make me send Mrs Caz in here...

Synbad what is with the heavy handed sarcasm. You're not Patrick Smith in the real world are you? If you don't like the thread, ignore it. Didn't you post to that effect recently, that if you don't like a post or poster don't read.

Also didn't you say a while back on TC that you were going to spend less time on the internet and only post occassionally....what happened!!! You seem to be on 24/7 and furiously posting many times on every thread.

Campo has been an absolute stalwart and is worth ~ $300k.

Fevola has recieved $500k offers from Collingwood and Hawthorn.

He should sign on for approx $400k, but he is really worth $350k.

Whitnall, is a dicey one, but I'd like him on the list than not on the list. I'll try to keep him for $200-$250k

The abovementioned players are the big three that are going out of contract at the end of this year.

Now what to do; if push comes to shove and negotiations for all three players have deadlocked.

Campo asks more than $300k, he will likely move to Port Adelaide on a two year contract. He has two good years of football in him, at least. Thus, I think Port will easily depart a round 1 pick for him and a player, someone like Cochrane???? Or Perhaps we can get a round 1 and 2 pick for him. So do not talk him down, as sentiment during the trading period is what drives the value of the player and as the media scans web sites we are solely responsible for diminishing his worth by talking him down.

Fevola must be kept at all costs, if negotiations have stalled at $400k and he still wants to go else where. Well, if clubs are prepared to pay $500k for him, then in my view he is worth two first round picks and a player. I recall last season Port milked Freo in the Josh Carr deal. If Fevola decides he wants to leave then the Josh Carr trade is a precedent we must follow.

Whitnall is a very good footballer and extremely flexible that can play both ends of the ground. I personally think $200k is a little cheap for him and is worth more inline with $250-$300k. He could be asked to move on, if he does, nothing less than #10 pick.

Freo want Tarrant

Collingwood want Fevola

We want Longmuir

something could be done here with picks and peripheral players thrown in

Do you really think a 30 year old is worth a a round 1 pick and a player?

Well Wayne Carey went for a #2 pick when he left the Kangaroos for the Crows, and that's whilst being out of football for a year.

A late round 1 pick or early round 2 pick & a peripheral player is what I will be demanding, at the least.

He will bring experience, skill, pace, goal kicking ability and his tackling count has improved out of site over the past couple of years.

We really shouldn't be talking him down, because at the same token, Dennis may demand an early round 1 pick for him.

We wouldnt get a second or third round pick for Campo... the days where you tricked opposition clubs for 31 year olds who are over the hill are well and truly over.
I doubt any club would offer Campo more than 200k.

You didnt even fit the other 10 players in... and youre challenging me ??>?? but you dont want to be pulled up for it???Look if you fit the whole list in id go easy on the intellctual exercise.. but challenging me when you cant even balance figures is ridiculous.. especially when you call me coward and then say i pour scorn on others and call me a "coward" in the same thread when its stupidity personified.

Mark didnt you say Campo is not into 600ks mark???
And i dont know what im talking about????
And last year disagreed with my Lance figure???
And i didnt not know what i was talking about???
