I just received a letter in the mail with a barcode sticker in it which i was instructed to stick on top of the barcode on my membership card. did anyone else receive this because my dad didn't receive one. Is this because he is an adult member and i am a junior member of have they forgotten to send my dad one (as they did with the membership hat)?

Yes, got mine today, all 4 need changing.

Edit - and they all work as I just brought reserved seats for the Carlton Richmond game at the G via ticketmaster.

I thought you were referring to Collingwood.
But than you would need to add an "s" to the word Problem.

Only certain catagories of cards are affected and it looks like Social Gold is one. Luckily (as it turns out) I had my wallet pinched in Tassie last month and have been waiting on a replacement card. The club told me today my replacement card would have the barcode issue fixed.

Love that silver lining. As for the paper stickover, I reckon it might last a few weeks at best. Are they replacing all affected cards?

Just a quick question, kind of related ... for the R1 fixture can mrs camel and I expect to just rock up and walk in with our Silver Membership cards, or will we need to reserve a seat?

Which stands are we likely to be able to sit in?

Camel, general public seats top deck southern stand behind the goals would by my guess.
I'm the same, silver family but I always get reserved seats for all Carlton home games so I know that extra money is at least going to Carlton.
The cost was $13.30 per adult and $3.10 per kid and got seats on level 2 Ponsford stand.

Do you reserve the seats through the club, or ticketmaster (or whoever)?

Ticketmaster.

http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/browse?category=8&tm_link=tm_sports_b_8&root=10004

Look for Carlton v Richmond (Member club or AFL), click on that link and it should open up a secure page, enter barcodes and find seats.. If you not happy with your seats cancel and go back and search again. Get you credit card out and and get ticketfast, too easy...

Depends on where you want to sit & how early you want to go. If you want good seats & turn up at any time you'd probably want to. If you don't care where you sit, I'm sure you'll find a seat (probably on level 4) and it won't cost you extra.

I'm a silver member. If someone lends me an afl membership:

1. Can I buy a reserved seat with it in the same area as the carlton membership?
2. Does the afl membership need to be scanned or just the ticketmaster ticket?

1. Can I buy a reserved seat with it in the same area as the carlton membership? $5.50 in the AFL members. Full price elsewhere.
2. just the ticketmaster ticket?

So I take it that this problem has affected Gold members/old SC members only?

I'm a Silver SC member, and haven't heard anything from the club.
