Coming out of the Chadstone carpark I noticed that there was 2 big Carlton membership posters, one on each side of the road. It was very hard to miss. I have never noticed these sorts of things before but it can only be positive.

Dickie might have had a quiet chat to his old mate John Gandel - and probably negotiated a pretty competitive rate. 8)

Not only is the NAB win worth actual cash for the club (and potentially a million more), but imagine how much it's worth to the club in memberships and increased interest in the club!

:-D :-D :-D

From last year's membership tally...

19133 as at 17/03/06. Carlton members are perennially late resigning so hopefully there is a surge in the next few weeks, especially after our 1st home game in Rd.3
Still tracking a little low unfortunately

And we got a further 9,623 for a final tally of 28,756. If we can add another 10,000 from where we are right now ... YEAH BABY! :-D

Thats a great point. 25,000 now plus a min what we signed last year from this point on equates to 35,000. When you consider the positive media regarding our list, the NAB cup win, King Pratt on board you would have to say that another 15,000 may not be that unrealistic.

It is possible that we can crack 40,000 and be the states No.1 team?

I think we can win 4 of our first 5 games aswell so even if we win only a couple of them our membership tally will still get higher and higher 8)

There were 46,000 there the other night and by the sounds of it (and because i was half counting the Lions fans that left with 5min to go) i seriously reckon that 38k-40k of them were Carlton fans...................& that's just for a pre-season cup!

38k members should be achievable this year. If Essendon* & Collingwood can do it then surely we can!

I was a little suprised about the lack of Lions supporters there saturday, I think if they turned out in greater force we would have got a packed house. There would have been no more than 5,000 of them there saturday night.

Perhaps it was a protest against those dreadful white uniforms.

New figure updated to 25,451 as at today - must have sold just over 400 between Saturday night and COB yesterday

2003: 25072 @ 20/3 (Final: 33,525)

2005: 25226 @ 22/3 (Final: 33,354)

2007: 25451 @ 20/3

At the moment we're just in front of our two best years. At the current rate we'll get between 34,000 and 35,000.

Add a few wins and the threat of finals and we'll do a bit better but 40K would be a freakish performance from here.
