I had to cut and paste this piece of Gold from the Pies Black and White Site.

http://forums.magpies.net/hotrod/

If you don't laugh out loud you aren't really a Blues supporter.

Subject: Pie ponderings from Saturday Night's Blues victory

Apart from some serious teeth grinding over the excellent left and right precision from Heath S . and inward growling about how well CC presented and played ( Y the eeeff couldn't he get his fat arse that neat when he was on our list ?...and I'm one who always believed he has the talent), the 2 aspects that stood out for me with the Blues performance were their beautiful kicking accross the board and their pace out of defence .

The ex Pies - well maybe they needed a roost up the clacker to bring out an extra reserve of effort and ability which may never have emerged at Pieland and clearing/delisting achieved that.
The skill and fitness levels displayed by this heavily penalized club looks better than anything I've seen in Black and White for yonks and it is not necessarily the "names" because they do have some great users of the pill and even the raw novices , like Satanta O have the fundamentals well honed while others like Fisher and Houlahan and Davies can hurt sides with their skill in delivery every bit as much as Stevens and Fev do.

(Who the eff is our kicking coach ? I read somewhere that Douglas Barwick is around the club now ...please get him to work on our delivery !

Total Poetry

It might come back to bite me but such is life.

Regards Cazzesman

Thanks Cazz.

Poetry in motion.

Just goes to show that opposition see things that our very own don't want to sometimes.

We are young, but we are good.
We're wooden spooners, but we are kids.
We are geowing in stature, muscle, nouse and experience.
We are heading in the right direction, and it's all small steps.
We are learning every little sinb\gle facet of the game till we become indelible

...even waite's kicking will be his strength sooner than later, and he'll be bvery scary as an opposition (glad he's on our side)...especially given that Stewie 'buckets' Lowe , turned his pathetic kicking into an All Australian weapon...and Waite is miles ahead of him at 23.

We will bite...and really soon too.

If you don't believe...just listen to the opposition.

Again, thanks Cazz!

just fell off my chair when I read the Davies bit ... obviously still haunted from 2004 ... maybe I should respond and ask him what he thought of Hopkins front and square positioning

I think it's just laughable that 6 months ago we ourselves were deriding these boys for their appalling skills and here the Pie supporters are green with envy!

Time+Space=good delivery

Pressure+Stress=turnover

Our general speed (and correct option with handballs most of the time) is giving us the time and space we need...so suddenly everyone looks liek they can kick...(which they all can)

Yep, and our skills have improved dramatically due to better coaching from Braddles, Ratts and Crosisca.

Our skill level is so much better this year.

I'll wait until I see the team in action in the season proper before I comment on whether our skills have improved... remember.. our skills looked pretty good during our Wizard Cup campaign two years ago and then what happened

I think our best 22 is naturally better skilled now, in comparison to 05.

The teague's, mc grath and company are no longer in our list let alone our best 22.

Russell, Murphy, Gibbs and Kennedy shit on those hacks.

Then you have the players who if fit (touch wood) like Fisher, Waite and Walker are much cleaner with the ball know.

I reckon Braddles and Ratts were really good players when they were under thew pump.

They are teaching the kids to dispose properly under pressure.

ALL GOOD.

We will be a lot more competitive this year.
