.......Flag - Hawthorn will win two

They have got some seriously skilled young kids - but more importantly a coach prepared to play them.

I wonder if we could con them in to taking Fev ? Maybe Pagan as well.

A Fev/Pagan trade for Hodge and Mitchell/Franklin.

Bring in Gary Lyon as coach (i'm going to get crucified for that one 8) )

And how were all those players brought to the club?
What round in the draft were they drafted?

Talent isnt enough Grrofunger. They will need a great coach and some hard tough players. There's just so much more to it than a few early draft picks... what else they got outside Hodge / Franklin / Roughhead?

If Barker and Dixon are still getting games, there must be some serious holes on that list.

I realise they are first rounders.

Where's our first rounder ???

carving it up for the bullants today !!

even if he does get a game he will spend it on the bench.

As soon as Hartlett is fit he should come in to the side too.

We have quality youngsters but they get limited opportunity

Our 'recycled players' should be playing for the bullants so we can develop our youngsters.

All this bullshit about mental scarring !!

And Barker isn't playing today.

Anyway, you need the right mix of both talented youngsters and firm, disciplined coach to guide them i.e Pagan, Matthews etc

That's why St.Kilda could be better than the Lions of the last 3 years if they had a coach like Sheedy, Matthews, Pagan, Worsfold etc coaching them.

Pagan ?? We lose by 80+ and he hands the reigns over to the players, we play like shit - I dont see any discipline being handed out

Lewis, Williams thats a fair 5 to begin with

yes Hathorn has holes in their list as do we - BUT look at the effort they put in, the way they play for each other , the way thier coach has faith in the youngsters.

Right now they are 100 times better than us - we should never have beaten them - we were lucky

Clarkson is making Pagan look like an idiot

Is this the first time that Pagan has publicly given them for the reins only for them to fail? Maybe he'll get to raise that this week ...

Pagan is not the man that is going to lead Carlton to the next Flag , we should have never signed him on for three years . In all my years of following The Blues i have never seen a side as badly coached as this one.
Cut Pagan now and start to rebuild as soon as possible

That was just an example Molsey

Pagan appears soft and the MCs selections are baffling at best

Pagans matchups are also baffling

Big call Sydney. Can't agree at all on the latter bits, Brittain's coaching was horrible. There are parts of the game at the moment that I do not understand, namely match-ups, use of the flood (and when we dont) plus team selections... but surely its part of a plan. He's been around too long for it not to mean something.

As for if he wins a premiership or not, time will tell. You couldnt reasonably expect a premiership within Pagans next contract, regardless of who was coaching them.

Gee, bit harsh.
Who would you like to see coach us?

Don't you dare say Gary Lyon or I will personally catch a flight to Sydney and cut your balls off.

Either Sticks - Williams or Ratten - proper carlton men

Sticks - nope. More of a business man than a coach. Not every champion player become good coaches, see Tim Watson.

Williams - would rather bag the club than coach it. Part of the Elliott era as well and is part of the reason why our list is in the state that it is.

Ratten - maybe in a few years time, but not now.

Hypothetically, if we were to sack Pagan and appoint a new coach I'd want Gary O'Donnell coaching us.

I'm sorry, I've got to disagree. The difference in our team from the Wayne Brittain era to the Pagan era was like moving light years ahead. This past month is the FIRST time I would've doubted him and that's not bad in a two and and a half year reign. He's obviously got players with a big discipline problem. I'm more interested in his attidude than his current plan b/c we don't know the recent constraints he's under. Maybe he's testing the young guys and blooding them. The proof will be in the pudding - come back to me in 12 months time...

Mercury - Have you been watching this side over the Pagan era they have had 4 or 5 of the worst defeats in Carltons History. I am soory but Pagan is not our man the game has moved on and we dont have a Carey - Mckernan -Longmire playing for us . this Guy has pinned the teams fortunes on the form of Fevola . I am sorry but I would have preferred Brttain.
Also the old administators would have tolerated three seasons of this rubbish . how long are we going to Give Pagan. 4 ,5 or 6 years and if he is not getting results then will we keep blaming Elliott
