its time we started directing chants at opposition players as well.

Ben Cousins is an eagle
he looks to take drugs
he has a different dealer
at every single club
he is always in some trouble
always in some strife
but then he smashed his car
he ran away in frieght
ohhhhhh
repeat first paragraph

(could be easily changed for Micheal Gardiner)

im a wanker, im a wanker, im a wanker yes i am
but id rather be a wanker than a toothless magpies fan

alot of these are straight rips from the barmy army and some are form my football following.

your mums ya dad
ya dads ya mum
ya interbred
ya adelaide scum

Would this put a bit of pressure on the Lions in the last quarter?

To the tune of Khe Sanh…

Well the last plane bound for Brisbane’s almost gone,
Yeah the last plane bound for Brisbane’s almost gone.
And it’s really got Leigh worried
Motels in Melbourne are crowded
And the last plane bound for Brisbane’s almost gone

There's this one, which has been haunting me since we started this discussion .. many of you won't remember this ad from the 80s

[team name], they're only [team name]
Even if they stagger and they fall
[team name], they're only [team name]
And we hate them all
(rinse and repeat)

And on the National Anthem bent (á la Brisbane's take on La Marsellaise) ...

Dick save our gracious team
Long live our noble team

Dick save our team
Send him victorious
Happy and glorious
Not long to reign over us
Dick save our team!

Or this one

Carlton, Carlton über alles,
über alles in dem League,
wenn es stets zu Stern und Shiesser
*
brüderlich zusammen hält.
Von der Maas bis an die Memel, von der
Etsch bis an den Belt.

Carlton, Carlton über alles,
über alles in dem League.

I just need someone clever to change this bit to suit
*not a typo - it means kicker, shooter, or goal-scorer, and pronounced shees-ser .. if I had meant the other word, which has been applied to us all too often recently, then it would be Scheiße pronounced shys-ser.. actually, it would be scheiße coz it's an adjective

This one has to get off the ground in the last quarter when we are 20 points in front with 4 minutes to go.

That was a cracker, Tommi.

Thought of a new one in the last couple of minutes. Pretty much done to the tune of Hawaii O-5 but with Setanta O'hAilpin added in to the music.

Setaaaanta O'hAilpiiiiiiin
da da da da daaaaaaa
Setanta O'hAilpiiiiiin
da da da da daaaaaaa
Se-tan-ta O'hAilpin
Se-tan-ta O'hAilpin
Setantaaaaaaa O'hAilpin yeeeeeeeah

Not sure if any of you TC'ers out there have heard the Brendan Fevola chant go up straight after a goal...

I was at the Hawthorn v Carlton match last year sitting in the forward pocket, Ponsford Stand...

After EVERY Fevola goal these four blokes would stand up out of their seats and chant "Breeendaaaan Feevollla!! Brendan Fevola, Brendan Fevola... Brendan Fevola, Breeeeennnndaaan Fevvvollla!!" whilst clapping at the same time similar to the sylables (spelling?) in Fev's name and then speeding it up a little. And while chanting Brendan's name their right arm would be outstretched pointing to Fevalenko, they would then repeat the chant for a second time and proceed to sit back down.

At the time I took video of it but unfortunately I erased it from my mobile phone, hopefully I might be able to track it down one of these days! (or with any luck, see those guys doing the chant again?)

I still reckon we should pick a player to carry on the old Ange Christou OOOOOoooooh whenever said player kicks the ball ..

Any takers / volunteers?

Yeh I know it could be taken as a boo but it has come down as one of my favourite highlights from the H&A videos I was given from the 1995 season ..

This one has to get off the ground in the last quarter when we are 20 points in front with 4 minutes to go.
You'd do it like the old Boot Camp chant

one - "We can see you sneaking out"
all - "We can see you sneaking out"
one - one, two
all - one, two
one - three, four
all - three, four
one - one, two, three, four
all - five, six, seven, eight (and keep counting up, in this case, twenty .. )

Or, to the tune of We Will Not Be Move
"Weeee seee yooooou, we see you sneaking out
Weeee seee yooooou, we see you sneaking out
It's because your team is really crap
We seeee you sneeeeeaking out ....

and here's another one
We'd sing this as a good-looking woman went past during the year I spent following the Roosters around NSW (1987 - see signature) but you could just as well adapt it for Fevs (or an unexpected banana, or speckie) .. the old Gerry And The Pace Makers tune ..

Naa naa naa naa nanaa naa
Naa naa naa naa nanaa naa
I like it .. I like it!

(could also be o'hAilpin .. o'hAilpin .. .. could work for either of them)
