Hmm, according to the www.yourtv.com.au website, this is what we have to look forward to on Saturday night on Prime in Canberra...

Chris Vaughn is a retired U.S. Special Forces soldier who has returned to his hometown to make a new life for himself. But, while Chris was gone his local town wasted away to a dilapidated crime-ridden shell riddled with drugs and violence thanks to his wealthy and corrupt high- school rival. Seeking to wreak vengeance and with righteousness in his heart, the highly-trained soldier, realizes it's time to clean up his hometown one way or another.

Replay scheduled for 11:30pm.

You can access PrimeTV's contact details from either www.whitepages.com.au or www.primetv.com.au. Prime also has a complaint form you can fill out and fax in to the station. ;)

Interestingly, the above is scheduled for Brisbane on Saturday night too. I wonder, given Brisbane are playing, if it will be altered? I was counting on it being shown live because Brisbane are participating. Surely they won't delay it until 11.30pm for Brisbane viewers? If they do, Channel Seven have no clue what-so-ever.

Channel 7 Brisbane will now be showing the final immediately following the 6 o'clock news.

Good news. :-D

You would think that Foxtel should be allowed to show it live on the Main Event channel for free, like they are going to do on Friday nights.

May be worth just checking aroung game time if it is on that channel.

Last Saturday night I noticed that the Car v Kang game was shown on Main Event as well as Fox Sports 1. The adverts were different during the breaks, but apart from that no difference except no Fox Sports 1 logo on the screen.

My mate rang foxtel today and they assured him it was on live on Main event as you suggest. Not sure about the free bit however. Still, good news for the NSW/ACT tragics, well those with foxtel at least.

Bondi, cancel those cancellations quickly :)

3 more sleeps

Foxtel would happily show every game live if they were given the chance.

With the ridiculous anti-siphoning laws, FTA have first dibs, giving them the ability to hold the rights yet withhold the telecast.

FTA channels = fascists of the highest order

Both right and wrong.... Everything you say here is right on the money. However, Foxtel DO have the opportunity to broadcast the game. I'm sure that Channel Seven would happily allow Foxtel to re-broadcast their digital signal for a reasonable sum.

Foxtel won't buy into the agreement with commercial networks because they would lose considerable advertising revenue. The only reason the SBS digital signal is still available to Foxtel Digital subscribers is because of the combined buying power created by the FFA's TV rights deal.

The fact that the networks are continuing the squabble over sports rights is sending this country into the dark ages as far as media acces is concerned. Foxtel know that if they win the battle, they will lose the war because it has gone on for so long that overseas entrants are scratching at the door.

The government also realise that this is the situation and THAT is why we don't have football on television in NSW, QLD and ACT. If businessmen or women were running the country's political parties and not @#$%&! nerdy, unfunny debate team captains we would all be better off.

This country needs its nanna to grab it by the ears and give it an arse-kicking for flower fighting.

It should be FREE.

In previous years the Friday night match was simulcast as a direct feed from Channel 9 Melbourne. At the completion of the game Fox just goes back to regular Main Even channel advertising.

I imagine the NAB GF will work in much the same manner.

If you have Foxtel IQ I'd say you might be in strife, but I can't see why a trusty old VHS wouldn't work???

The game will be free on Main Event, as per Fridays this year.

I agree, but a can't see Car v Bris shown live in Sydney being a real ratings winner......Swans last year used to get out rated by the naked chef on SBS sometimes...just no interest apart for us diehards.

Told a couple of people at work about it being on Main Event, that just gave me that who gives a .... look

True, yeah. But it's Iron Chef, not Jamie Oliver. :) And Iron Chef is WAY better than the Swans anyway :P

I'm not overly fussed about to, TBH, but even a 90-min delay or something so people can get their Benny Hill fix would be better than 11:30.

Just waiting for the season proper. If it's still ridiculous hours then...

Just brilliant. :x :x :x

I'm going to Orange to support our wholesale customer at the Expo; cross promotion.

Cross...you better believe it...I'm furious.

I'm staying in a motel the client booked me in because it has pay TV; Austar.

The game is on at 6.20pm LIVE. :-D

You'd think I'd be happy, because this is solely RUGBY UNION territory, and I'm staying in a motel with the game live on Main Event.

Unfortunately it turns out that the motel does not have access to Main Event, as it is pay per view and would cost them $5000 pa to get in on and it's not worth it! :( :( :( :( :(

Does anyone have family...Carlton family in Orange I could join on Saturday night?...that has access to main event on Austar?

I hate Channel 7!!

News is getting better.

There's an AFL team in Orange, and an AFL comp in the region....so where there's smoke, there's fire.

My client said he..."will find a set and place for you to watch the GF"...when he said that...I replied..."gees that was easy to find out, and you seem so confident...how about finding me half a dozen Carlton supporters who will be watching it too...and can you pick me up after it?"

Fingers crossed.

That story is a total beat up by the Sydney RL press. The AFL was outrated in the fifteen minute period AT HALF TIME when there was no game action and people (like me) were flicking the channels. It's very easy to spin the ratings figures in your favour ...

Good on Foxtel for streaming it through Main Event though. I've had a couple of interesting discussions with folk at Prime down here about it. I think they've barred my number.
