Brisbane are probably gonna want to come out and intimidate us & put the foot down early, which would have EASILLY worked in the past and the game would have been lost at halftime.

Despite the fact that they still look to 'Punish & Hurt' teams early.............they are now just as youthfull & developing as we are. Me thinks we could probably use this to OUR advantage and reverse the roles.

Brennen has been in some decent form this pre-season and will be hard to match up on.

Brown WILL look to have a decent game but wont be his fearsome self as he very much wants to be there come round 1. I would LOVE to see Setanta on him.
Leave Waite to create play out of the defensive 50 and have Setanta make the spoils. (i have a feeling that in the past 3 games setanta has probably had onoly 5 goals kicked on him in-total!)

Fev will need some back-up because i cannot see Lethal relying purely on Merrit to take him. Others would have to be lurking.

Whitnall has always played pretty well against the lions, speciall up forward. Me think we should play him pushing up towards CHF with Fev close to goals.

What else?................................................

It'll be a tough game cause it means so much more to Brisbane than what it did to West Coast. Hopefully it's a good game with Carlton winning & NIETHER team getting any injuries!

Best thing about this game....If Waitey doesn't work out on Brown..we go to Setanta..if he doesn't work out..we go to T-Bird..So many options and plans b and c..its a joy to know we're not going to get cornered this year if plan a doesn't work!

You won this week, SAS - well done!

Didn't Blackwell play really well after Murphy went down in round 13? Pretty sure that was his coming out game, so to speak.

Tough to pick - might want Wiggins in so Grigg, Jackson, Bower & um ... Kennedy to miss.

Out of interest (and maybe this should be posted elsewhere),

but to those who understand our team structure a bit better than myself... do you think there is any possibility that when we go to the premiership season and have squads of 22 players, that there will be space for both Hatlett and Kennedy in the same squad? Would be interested to know thoughts.

Otherwise, the squad looks good to me. A shame Edwards can't quite make it - but I'm sure his time will come. Good luck Navy Blues!

FWIW, I reckon Blackwell's form for the Bullants has been pretty good in the last couple of weeks.

Having said that, I'm not sure who he'd come in for. Bentick played a ripper last week so I can't see him losing his spot.

I reckon Blackwell will come in for Jackson and Kennedy will come in for Bower.

So therefore it is Saddington and McLaren out of 28 man squad replaced by Blackers and the Chief. :-D

Geez it's gunna be tough to pick the final 24 though!

I can't see Griggy or Wiggo getting a run. If Blackers comes in he would replace Jacko, one would think. If JK is risked then he would probably replace Bower, but I would rather it was Whitnall who was rested. Tough, but ain't it great that we seem to have some depth now. 8)

What is the obsession with Wiggins. He is an average footballer.............

I will be pissed if he comes in at the expense of some young guy.....

One of the few times I would think that the pre season is on 30minutes delay.

It's nearly always been live.

Time to test out Waite 1st BV. Must see how he goes against a genuine "contested marking" CHF. Franklin isn't and Lucas isn't but Brown is.

Sorry mate but Waite is waaaay too erratic to play in the back half for me.
He can be brilliant one minute and abysmal the next, something the backline doesnt need.
Thornton, Setanta and Hartlett would make a handy tall trio in the backline for me.

Tough.................REALLY tough!

It pains me to say this because i love the kid but i think Jackson will be replaced by either Grigg or Blackwell.

Grigg has been consistant and could prove a suprise packet for Brisbane!

Kennedy MUST come in but not at the expense of Bower. Bower is going to be a star for Carlton and the experience from such a big game will prove invaluable.

Wiggo can wait.

Blackwell i'd like too but cannot figure out who to drop!

Ohhhhhhhhh, So tough! But i'm gonna go with:-

In's:- Grigg, Kennedy

Out's:- Jackson, ............................ I don't want to say it but one of either Bower or Hartlett.

Would you believe it Barnesy, Chanell Bruce are cutting the news short here and crossing to TD at 6.20pm for the coverage. I guess the Lions cracked the shits and got their way. If they weren't involved it would be at midnight.

Anyone know what time the gates will be open at the Telstra Dome? Thinking of getting there early for a decent General Admission Seat... might grab some Nando's before hand!

EDIT: Don't worry! found it while browsing the Telstra Dome website, gates open at 5:30pm and LiveWire opens at 4:30pm.
