I was looking for an English Gaelic translator online so you could put Happy St Patrick's Day in Gaelic on your banner .. but having said that, I reckon you could adapt the "God between us and harm" sign we have here at home to read

"o'hAilpin idir sinn 's an t-olc"

There would be no Begley confusion that way ...

I'll keep searching, though

BINGO!!

Try any one of these http://www.irishgaelictranslator.com/tr ... .9700.html
Don't know how good they are, but it might get the message across!!

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Shona Duit is the way id say it p(12)terg

Phoenix get some green, white, orange and blue fabric in a curtain store. Cut equal parts green white and orange for Ireland flag (obviously put them together). Cut Carlton crest (with or without notches) with some extra white and blue and place in centre. With above Gaeilge in blue it would certainly stand out & should def be easy to do before saturday which should be a great day. 8.30 a.m. Carlton/Brisbane match, got final at 12, Ireland/Italy Six Nations game (k.o. 1.30) to watch after that & then Patricks Day parade in Cork. after that drown sorrows or celebrate victories :-D

If someone wants a Fijian flag I have one here at home that I purchased while in Fiji, it is not all that big (perhaps 2 metres x 1.2 metres?) and not attached to a flagpole either...

If anyone feels the need to wave it around madly at the football PM me and I will bring it along and arrange to meet you somewhere before the game starts.

I would, for handiness sake, just put feile lá le Pádraig Setanta.

Takes up less room and gets the point across.

The above simply MUST be used for the runthrough for Setanta's 50th Game.

Attn: Match Comittee:

Setanta's 50th game must be Aisake's debut. Make sure it's at the Dome.

Send that in PM to Stephen or Mark.

Great idea about the banner, and the debut of Aisake. Imagine how much more it would lift Setanta having his brother, even on the bench. Would be amazing to see them run out together.

You're a star PJ. Well done to Lurker also, that flag looks outstanding. I like it better than the Australian flag. The monogram may be easier to get ready for Saturday rather than the shield as Kev B was suggesting.

(The Southern Cross flag could have the stars changed to CFC monograms also, just as another cheersquad flag. I'm a mongbean with computer graphics stuff so I won't attempt.)

And they can't debut Aisake at the Dome this weekend because ...? What better day than St Pat's!?

Yeah pretty good, Kev.

My brother lives in the CBD of Melbourne so he's heading out to Melbourne Central to that Irish shop to see if he can get one for me.

Not sure if I'll be able to get the Carlton emblem on it in time though.
