New Sponsors??

When Pratt joined the blues, there was talk of all sorts of new sponsors wanting to jump on board. To this point in time, I am unaware of us releasing the details of any new sponsorship deals.

I am sure there would be things happening behind the scenes, but wouldn't it be great if we could announce some new large sponsors.

You must have missed it, our sponsorships are all filled.

I believe the talk was of sponsors in the $10k-$50k range. There wouldn't be an announcement unless it was a major sponsor.

they released the details in the media of the Chinese based, Danish Owned electronics company which sponsor the coaching staff...forgotten the company name....JNC or something along those lines.

Hang on, the JNC announcement was before Pratt came on board. Collingwood have that many sponsors - Major ones it aint funny. You are going to tell me that our major sponsors are filled cause we have Dan Murphys and Optus? Ok we majoer sponsors, but we dont have many below that level. 100k - 200k sponsors

Sponsors paid up enough to be on website:

Collingwoods Sponsors: Emirates, Sony, Carlton Draught, Coca-Cola, Hard Yakka, MacDonalds, Lexus, Wizard Home Loans, Adidas, Ezy Bonds

Carltons: Optus, Dan Murphy, K&S Freighters, Subaru Docklands, Nike, Visy Board

We have 6 and Collingwood 10, and the names they have are well above ours. We need another 4 quality companies on board it would seem

This is a contentious point that was covered well during the lead up to the AGM and a quick scour through talkingpolitics and you will find a lot of talk on this.

Not wanting to cover old ground , we seem to have come so far already with the new board and president but i think the ex board screwed us by signing deals with companies that prevent us from going out and getting more new major sponsors.

The current board is focussing on the lower $$ bracket sponsorships which will still bring in significant dollars and from listening to StephenM sounds like they have made good progress on this.

Not only financially but assisting in some new Staff aquisitions in the Media Guy Tony and Rod Ashman for starters
