If things go our way, this means perhaps a win against the hawks this week or a competitive showing and a couple wins in our first 4 games I believe we will get 35,000 members.

If we get smashed this week and lose our first 2 games then 30,000 can be expected.

I realistically think we will break our record.

We've added 1500 since last week? That's not bad.

I still think we could hit 25,000 - 30,000 before the season starts if we show something special in the NAB Cup. Maybe 30k is asking to much but certainly 28k+ should be achievable.

Anybody here Brian Waldron on SEN before saying it's a disgrace that we are behind the Bulldogs in terms of membership? Jesus............i respect him and enjoy listening to him but sometimes he just pisses me off with stupid comments like that.

If Membership is so easy Brian then why are you having problems!

I am pretty sure that we are now tracking ahead of the dogs. They are still to break 21K IIRC :?:

No many people are expecting us to beat Tassie, so this weekend's win could generate unprecedented total early March.

Either way the CFC supporters should be once again congratulated! :-D

2nd of March:

2007: 22,500
2006: 16,500
2005: 20,000
2004: 19,000
2003: 21,620

These figures are approximate. In some years I have a figure for 10 days either side - in those cases I've estimated.

2003's the best comparison but the figures I have for that year are 19,000 on the 10/2 and 24,500 on the 24/3. In that period we averaged about 131 new members a day so on the 2nd of March I've given us 21,620.

We got 33,525 that year and we're nearly 1000 up at the moment. A lot of people signed up early that year due to the events of Black Friday.

^^^ Thanks for that GWS

By the looks of things we're on record pace and with a bit of luck and some early season wins, we should break 35,000.

Will be interesting to see how much we rise by this week. It's been a while since back-to-back wins and apparently Membership is not slowing down.

Maybe 23,500-24,000?

I'm hoping to add my second membership this week as a Captains Club member. :-)

Only 4 weeks to go before Round 1.

Lets say we're at 23,500 today following the great support we received in Tassie from the die hard Navy Blue Tassie Devil Crew.

If we are to clock on 32,000 before round 1, we need 327 members to sign each day from today (including Saturdays & Sundays), or 2288 per week.

The 32,000 target is more than achievable for round 1.

Tell your friends, and lets hope that the huge SE QLD Carlton support base turns up in droves and sign up as members.

With 2 Carlton games to play in QLD in 2007, it's worth buying an Interstate Silver membership ($105-$139...?).

Support your club. Back Pratt. Back the Baby Blues.

Over to you QLD.

all the talk during last year with Smorgon saying 'we need your money or well have to play home games interstate as its the only avenue we have left' seems to be out the window...unlike in 2005 when we won the Wizard Cup, we played all 4 games at Telstra Dome, while West Coast, our opponents played in Darwin, Cairns, Perth, and Melbourne (just a bit of travel)...this year, playing in Melbourne, Tassie, and now Gold Coast it's actually a good thing as we can build membership bases (no matter how modest they may be) in these un-touched areas...Hawthorn and StKilda are arguably the two teams based in Tassie because of the home games they've played there, and up north its Kangaroo Territory, but building small bases up there means that if we allow the Kangaroos to play their home game against Carlton each year up north, then our membership base up there will remain strong...

GO BLUES!

Just got word from an official at the club and we're at just over 23K as at today.

They expect a further significant rise in the next week or so - mainly due to interstate games and our support in those states.

The meter will be back up shortly.

Won't happen by Round 1 but hopefully not too long afterwards.

We've added 5000 in the last 23 days which is only 217 a day. That includes the family day which added over 1000.

We're still tracking a bit ahead of our best two years of 2003 (33,525) and 2005 (33,354) but 32,000 before round 1 is out of the question I reckon. In both of those years we were around 26,000 at Round 1.

I think in both those years we had an away game first up and this year we're got a home game so 28-29,000 by round 1 looks about right. Win the NAB cup and we could crack 30K.

2003: 24,500 @ 14/3

2005: 24,500 @ 15/3

We've added 214 a day over the last 15 days.

If we keep up that rate for the next 6 days we'll be at about 25,500.

Still ahead... :-D
