Well Warbs has hung up the boots for the season proper and since I've got a few articles lying around in boxes, I thought I'd share a few of them with you all.

There are some from 99, 2001, 2002 onwards.

Got a whole lot of articles right before Jack was kicked out of the club.

But to get us started, te first pic shall be of one man who everyone here loves to hate. He's pretty much done and dusted as a player, but back in 99 his name was very much a hot discussion after an incident in the 99 prelim final.

I give you Aaron Hamill just minutes after we beat the Bombers in 99.

Leave your hate for the man at the door as I ask you this question...

Had he not left Carlton, where would Aaron fit in to it all at the current Carlton? Everything else is as it happened, except Hamill is still at the club.

Would he have been made captain this week? Would he have continued his awesome partnership with Lance in the forward line?

I reckon he would be in a similiar situation. The guy played like a human bowling ball. Injuries were always likely to take him out earlier than normal.

I thought he was a pretty good leader when he captained the saints a few years back. But I dont think he will play enough games to captain again from this point, whether he was still here or not.

Personally, I hope he stays on their list for while yet, soaking up the cap. 8)

PJ, may I suggest Campo next to really get this thread pumping

It's hard to think happy thoughts about him.

I just love the pic.

Shows the raw emotion that players were feeling after that match. Especially Hamill at such a young age.

Yeah we tend to rabbit on about that match, probably even a little too much, but it was such a good day for various reasons it's hard not to keep going on about it.

As soon as Manton kicked that first goal, you knew it was going to be an interesting day.

Great pic PJ. I just can't comment on the man himself nicely though.

Who could forget this mob back in 02?!

Went around and collected signatures to force the EGM that eventually ousted Elliott. 4 and a bit years later on, Fiore runs for a position on the board with the DCT ticket.

They look like a bunch of mafia hit men.

When Hamill left he took 40 goals from our fwd line. If he stuck around in 2001 he would have made a big difference to our line up. I reckon we could have almost gone all the way with him there.
