Disappointingly, the site seems to have got worse.

Dull, boring, over Telstra-fied.

One more reason we should have gone independent.

Can't the background be blue? Also, there's more AFL logos on the page than CFC logos .. TC has more of a Carlton feel than that.

Maybe it's the clash site!

Pete, that is without doubt, your best post EVER!

Everyone is an expert. 8)

Let's just wait until the site is actually up and running before we all start frothing at the mouth shall we?

Looks like I'm in the minority as I think it's better than what we currently have, however that's not saying much.

I do like how they have us as 3rd on the ladder however!

To offset the white, and given the layout is otherwise pretty much the same, I wonder if they could employ a similar approach to the foxsports.com.au website, whereby the content floats in the middle of the browser window, to a set width, and the blank space either side of the content area is in blue.

I find the foxsports.com.au website a bit easier to read when the text is not crammed so tightly to the left edge of the window.

This is similar to Beta testing software - now is definitely the time to voice opinions and fix bugs - whilst it is still possible and cost effective to do so.

Really does not look much like the one I saw a couple of months back. :?

Good thing though is the menu system is the same as the one I saw, it is a million times better than the old navigation system.

Its better than what it was, but not by much.

I don't like the way the main heading/lead story box comes up first when you click onto the site and then everything else follows.

Not sure if that is my computer, which is damn fast or what.

I would prefer the membership ladder to be in place of this weeks' NAB fixture.

Apart from slowing down my computer horrendously, it doesn't look different enough to the main AFL site for mine.

Also, why is there an AFL logo in the title bar, not the Famous Monogram?

The AFL logo was in the sensis bar at the top of the last version of the website as well!

I know bagging Telstra is a national pass-time, but get it right.

Oh, and it doesn't slow down my PC, you might have to get rid of that inferior Mac you have. :P

had the afl site ...news article about MAlouf and election process was wondering why it was so crap and then twigged that it's not the Carlton site (as the strories scrolled from Malthouse to Geelong) albeit for a few seconds

Clicked homepage to get back to the Blues site.
This tells me that it's not distinct enough.

Too much flash which half the time tells nme to install the latest flash player (when it is) simply because uit didn't load the page properly.

Membership meter is where?

Menu (on season 2007 line) don't have drop downs that work so somehow you need to know what catagories are under those headings (try finding palyers!)

The thing that needed the most fixing...the "shop" is sadly the same...with the same login issues.

Here's another one...as an exercise...try finding the match report for Saturday night (and the stats ) I didn't think it was very intuitive as I went to the season 2007 menu, and then read it
Quote:
Pagan said. "We know we've got a lot of work to do, we know we've got a lot of obstacles and hurdles in front of us, but it's a start."

Now Pagan uses a lot of cliches, but I've rarely heard him say the "&quot" word (how do you pronounce that exactly????

Now if you do get that far...click home to take you back to the Carlton site and you'll probably end up back at the afl site and take a few seconds to realise...(go back to top of rant...)

Get Tony DeBolfo on board asap!

Anybody noticed the big staff up with the Players Profiles in the Official Carlton Website? they have duplicated and given wrong jumpers numbers to some players plus they don’t give the Players first names, which I think that is totally wrong and why they did not perfect it before they taken the original site off.

I'm usually pretty easy going when it comes to things like this but the last version was ten times better then this monstrosity. Plus we can no longer see the current membership total on the right.

Or it could be lazy coding by which ever 8th-grader put it together.

I wasn't Telstra-bashing per-se.

And my comment about the Monogram is still valid.
