Reliable poster on CSC reckons this will be the group announced:

Lance as Captain with Fev, Waite, Murphy & Gibbs included in part of the leadership group. 8)

He says we could have up to 10 players involved.

Cast of thousands! I wonder about Stevo & Walks. :?

Don't know much more than that brizzy....................just writting what was reported on SEN.

Although i know now that you can add names like Waite / Thornton / Stevens & Fev to the Leadership group also.

10 names in total apparently...................geez, hope that's not gonna be a case of two many chiefs, not enough indians!

I know we all love Gibbs.................but he hasn't played a game yet. I'm not to sure about this one.

Bit premature i think.

But.........................i'll support it anyway cause i love my club!

Well Done Lance & Crew!

It would have been good if SEN could have stayed with the presser and heard exactly who rather than speculate. FFS!

Did anyone catch what Whitnall actually had to say.
All I heard was ummm, mmm, yeah, you know.
Terrible choice as captain but then again we are stuck with a coach making decision who still thinks he is coaching in the 90's

It may be easier to start listing the players who AREN'T in the leadership group.

My guess is that Gibbs oozes leadership.

Whilst he has only been with us since Nov last year, he has obviously made a good impression. He has shown maturity, has been very vocal and involved at training and proven his class, balance, skills and poise to all at CFC.

He's the #1 Draft in the SuperDraft.

Maybe it's obvious to CFC why Gibbs is in the leadership group but maybe notso easy to an outsider.

Add Thornton to the list as was mentioned in this article on the AFL site.

How long is he captain for? Lance was always going to be captain for 07 at least. Its only a temporary thing before Murph gets the job in a couple of years.

Well done to the big fella...200 game veteran and showed in 2006 that he was back to his best...has led from the front during pre-season training and is perfectly positioned in his on-field position to lead on the ground.

Scotland is ONLY in the leadership group so that his lawyer can say he "is part of the senior leadership group at Carlton". The lawyer will also lie and claim that Heath wants to be a firefighter after his football career is over and cannot fulfill this lifelong ambition if he holds a criminal record.

He's skating on thin ice....this is the last favour the footy club does for Heath. I have heard from a remarkably reliable source that it's a case of three strikes and your out with regard to Scotland and that that directive has come from the very top. If you weren't already aware - he's had two already. For his sake, I hope he hasn't had a punt on the footy.

Whitnall through no fault of his own hasnt exactly lead the team from the front in pre season training because of a knee problem. Over stating it a bit.

Long time reader. First time poster.

Do you always have to post such negative stuff? Why bother visiting here?

Thumbs up Red. Lead this team to many respectable victories in '07.
