No Boycott the station all together, including the weekend footy coverage with Rex. This will hurt them more.

Oh does Rex cover the footy too? I thought he just spoke gibberish for a few hours.

I agree - since DR started at 3AW the sports programme has gone down the hill and his Carlton bashing is sickening.

I would suggest to email the station and complain. They do not like a lot of unhappy listeners writing to them. This would be far more effective then a couple of hundred Carlton supporters turning off.

They should get Hooksey back. He was great.

You do realise he died a couple of years ago.

Also, I'm pretty sure I read that he is a close childhood friend of Craig Bradley - it could all be just a stir. Don't take it so seriously.

Pretty sure the Hooksey line was a gag. What a black sports day that was.

I boycotted 3 AW in 1982 - the reception is lousy

You should just email the link to this thread to 3AW...

I guess someone must have received it:

That's your problem - as long as your ratings are up and you sell your moronic Clive Peeters advertising - what do you care the bloke is braindead? It's all you have to go on - nothing to do with quality ie: David Hookes. You wheel out the same tired line - the ratings. Must be so satisfying going home at night knowing your work and your co-workers rarely have much to do with quality broadcasting. You see your average listener (and no I aint one) on 3AW wouldn't really know good broadcasting anyway - so why would they complain about a boofhead like Russell? Their biggest issue is being able to afford a pack of Winny Blues and some fish fingers for dinner.

But thanks for the reply. Mike.

Hi Mike,

As always you are welcome to your opinion. However, we're delighted by
Dwayne's work with Sports Today, and the ratings - which were as good as
ever last year - tell us that the majority of listeners are too.

Regards

Thank God for SEN. My mates were right and I can no longer listen to the
prattling brayings of this ex-hack. Vale Hooksie and goodbye 3AW. What
was I thinking? Mike - Kinglake.

Ah Bluechucky, you're a literary giant!

As for what a non sequiter is, that's just stupid.

I have printed a few copies off.

But I will give someone $1000 if they do the same thing to Andrew Demetrispew's entry. :P

Rolled gold tosser, couldn't agree more.

What really breaks me up is that he talks about his beloved Port as virtual football "royalty". Wow - "Abberton Oval", what a place to be!! He really needs to be reminded that they could win 4,000 SANFL premierships and they wouln't equate to what we've achieved with 16 and the best win/loss ratio of any AFL/VFL club. Our supporters (and coach!) walk upright, too!

A guy who defends Hewitt as regularly as he does, well....... It's called being South Australian, isn't it? Bogan.

I've heard he's also a self-important tosser away from the microphone too.

Don't worry, we're about to get our own back in the next few years - with interest.

Having said that, Whitnall & Co still foolish to be out at that time and the Club must be accountable to some degree - a pity flower wit "Dwayno" also noticed. I'll rely on King Dick to get the right people in to fix that.

The single greatest thing to happen on TC (for the week anyway)... This will get around the footy circles for sure!
