What a terrifically insightful post Clem! Same broken record, same boring tune.

Would it be disloyal Clem to expect that Denis doesn't need junior players to tell him who to delist and that maybe he actually knows who will take the team forward?

Would it be disloyal Clem to ask any of our players to ignore the best option even if it is "Camporeale or Stevens running past"?

Would it be disloyal Clem for a supposed supporter to constantly deride a vast number of players and therefore also the club?

We are all pissed off with the result last week and where the club is at so far this season. The penalties imposed by the AFL on Black Friday have had, and will continue to have, a huge negative impact on us for a number of years.

Clem, is it at all possible that with the right list of players around him Campo's real talents would shine and that maybe his natural game style suffers as a consequence of the list that we have. All players have strengths and weaknesses, you can't become something that you are not. Just because we lack certain types of players, you can't simply expect Campo to change to become that type of player.

I too am very disappointed in what we are getting out of Campo but to constantly profess that he is shit is not fair, accurate or loyal.

Have you actually watched a Carlton game in the last 10 years?? The above statement is a complete fallacy.

Kouta, god bless him, has an unnatural kicking style that sometimes fails him because he grew up an athlete not a footy player.

His kicking isn't in Campo's league. Camporeale is a great foot pass.

Honestly, you people need to read my post carefully, you obviously didn't understand it.

Just because you saw the word Camporeale there you think it's an anti-Camporeale-only post.

If you actually read the post you would see that it's NOT just about Camporeale, it's about the entire "leadership" group.

Some of you lot are so precious about Camporeale that a little bit of criticism seems to be beyond what you can take.

If only you people who seem to be "defending" Camporeale, had eyes to read my post.

Don't say to me that you weren't disappointed with what happened on the weekend - and don't say to me you want to blame the juniors only and not have the guts to start pointing the finger at players who contributed at least equally to the loss - that is the SENIOR players.

PLAYERS - with a CAPITAL "S"

If that was the case why doesn't he take kick outs? Why does Campo do them if he's such a bad kick?

Unnatural?

Kouta could put the ball in Campo's back pocket from 30 metres, either foot.
His passing is first class. :?

You're very right in that regard BV. Kouta is a great kick off both feet. But the whole comparison is rather futile. Comparing Kouta and Campo's kicking is really "splitting hairs".

For starters verbs people were saying Lance was given the ball cleanly... how come???

At the Richmond game Camporeale had 23 kicks, 17 of which were effective.

He actually had the most effective kicks for any player on the ground, Richmond or Carlton. :D

Put it out in front of the big irishmen for a start

No, i can't say I'm Campo.

This argument over kicking is indeed splitting hairs cos they're both a good kick.

BUT, when you watch kouta's kicking style it is not the orthodox, classic AUssie rules kicking technique. It is a slightly unnatural improvisation, due to his history. As such, while he's usually a gun kick, he does shank the odd one more often than Campo.

Synbad's original suggestion that Kouta is a better kick than Campo is plain wrong. Technical, but he's wrong.

(p.s. I'm not bagging kouta - he's one of the best players i've ever seen - just not as good a kick as Campo which was the asserition i'm debating)

As a side issue we all saw Camporeale turn one over in the defensive 50 on the weekend...led to a Richmond goal.

Sure Kouta's kicking isn't as "classical" as Camporeale's but it's a moot point really...
