NOW more than ever it is time to get behind the club...help, volunterr, JOIN etc etc

There is a distinct danger that the passion and anger may die away from the members and fans becuase they thing suddenly everything is under control...

There's been some great ideas and passion here the last few weeks...let's keep the POSITIVE momentum going so that it can now TRYLY be directed and led in the right direction....

Ask not what you...well you know how it goes!

GO BLUES!!!

I wonder if I could set up some stalls around Albury/Wodonga trying to sell some memberships...I would love to do something like that. There are plenty of Carlton supporters around...i know at least 15 or so and I don't think the majority of them are members.

I couldn't agree more.

Today is a very special day for the Carlton Football Club. Today we put the competition on notice. Mike Sheahan told me at the press conference today he detected a feeling that he hadn't felt at PP for years.

But there is much to be done and it can not be done by one man.

Do not forget what we have endured over the past 5 years. Do not forget the jibes, the pain, the insults Carlton people have been subjected to.

We must now ensure the business model we put in place makes us bulletproof for ever. A huge component of this is the return of our huge support base - both at grass roots and corporate level.

Please don't allow complacency to return. ( Or arrogance just yet).Tell your friends, your families to get involved.

Over the next few weeks we will call on our members support to rally the troops.

You can be sure our young players will be giving their all - please make sure all of you do as well.

Today we took a significant step towards Premiership 17 - but it is only one of many many steps.

We are excited for tomorrow.

Go Blues !

Your point about ensuring the business model makes us bulletproof forever is an important one. There has been a bit of discussion on here today about not wanting to rely on handouts that get us out of trouble now and ending up back to where we started from in 5 years time.

This should be act as a boost to the efforts of attracting more sponsors in that $10-$50k range you and Stephen are targetting.

Can't we start showing a just a tiny, little bit of arrogance yet? :-D

Mark, my boots are on and I'm ready to kick %$#^.....

I want to help...I've bbought the memberships, I've bought the merchandise, I've pushed and pushed all the supporters I know...

I'm not stopping ... just starting!

I'm keen to see the Sub -committees and contacts so that at least we can feed ideas, volunteer help or provide feedback to the appropriate people......rather than hassling some poor sould who answered the phone

Spot on Billy.Blues fans have got to rid themselves of that beggar, bludger, parasite mentality.Sitting back waiting for the bigboys to drag us out of the shit is gutless. The ordinary rank and file supporter has the resp[osability to do there bit as much as anyone.EVERYONE has gotta put there hand up.
Many hands make light work.........one in,all in.

Thats probably the best thing I could read from a board member, a sense that they hurt just as much as the rest of us

Great post, Mark, and I'm impressed you are still interested enough to hang around this forum despite the election being done and dusted.

I agree that we can't rely on the Prattler to singlehandedly bail us out. I'd be happy if he tipped in 2-3 million and then went about, with the other board members, implement plans/methods in which we could acquire other money to pay off this debt.

The Sydney TC'ers will be rallying together in the next couple of weeks - if there's anything we can do to help our mighty club get a stranglehold in Sin City then we're all ears.
