Three weeks from today we will see Gibbs! and the return of Murphy! and Ackland playing for the Blues! and maybe Cloke! and get to see Simpson's pace again! and the exciting Setanta! and much much more!

Let's hope the TV will show the game. I remember three years ago going to a pub to watch us smash Sydney. That was the first time I saw Stevens playing for the Blues.

The next week we lost to Geelong. I was flying to Canberra that day, so I went to the airport way early so I could watch the first half on a TV at the airport. I found an off TV close to my boarding gate, turned it on, grabbed a beer and saw Setanta for the first time. I listened to updates on ABC radio whilst I was up in the air but lost reception. By then I knew we would lose.

I would die if I don't get to see the game which is only 21 days away!

I'm really amazed just how fired up I am to see the boys run about again.

Due to ill-health I haven't been able to see the team in person for the best part of the new century. (Some might say I've been fortunate!)

I really miss the feeling of knowing who a player is simply by the way he runs or the way he kicks. But, as I've mentioned previously, our list gives me realistic hope for the upcoming seasons. It'll be nice to rub the noses of our fellow opposition fans (who have been all-too gleeful of late) in it, when we re-assume our evil empire status. :)

I am really looking forward to seeing the new look Baby Blues. Now that all the grubby politics is over and done with, we can get down and enjoy the stuff that really matters.

Who we play again?

All this pre-season optimism is great. Can;t wait to see the Blues (or the White with blue emblems) do some damage.
Here's hoping we can carry it thru Rnds 1-22.
