The Buzza moment was pretty special.

Wow.. so many great moments to chose from. What a club/What a ground.

Also there was that match in 82 against the Swans when we kicked 10 or 12? goals in the first quarter.

U sure it wasn't against the doggies?

14 goals and then a dreaded point!

Still my entries included the several things mentioned however

the pie stand Fire
Bluebirds
Blues Bros.
10 goal 3rd qtr every time at the OO 79- 83.
The day sos went nuts... ran the length of the ground against the hawks and belted someone with a cream puff s much so that he didn't miss a week.

The Hawthorn Stand Mafia " a bunch of Ajax members who congregated for a chat every half time in the loweer section of the stand

AHHHHHHHHHH

Seen a few of those but have only been going there since 1993.

I remember my first game was round 1, 1993 against Fitzroy, close game all day and we lost after Michael Dunstan kicked the winner right before the end. Anyone remember this game?

But I was also there at the next match at Optus Oval to see Sticks sink Hawthorn.

"Anthony Koutoufides domination of the West Coast Eagles in 1986"

Must have been yelling "malaka" as a 13 yo in his duffle coat to Steve Malaxos , must have been serious sledging

Gesh it sucks for us to so old agro...again if that buzza pic wasnt cropped youd see my ugly mug.

I think some funny memories was good old Mark Johnson and Kevin Heath going at it. Remember the "chisel chin chant"? and his donkey kick responses.

Oh and a couple of Robbie Muir antics as well funny as the man was a absolute lunatic

Pie stand fire..
Robert Muir going crazy at us after we were very non politically correct to him after he smashed Montgomery in a cowardly act.. and when the umpire got between him and us on the wing on the other side of the fence it got funnier.
Having leaders like Nicholls, Jesaulenko, Johnston and Kernahan running out for you....

Might have been Mark Jackson you were thinking of  - I remember we used to have a go at Mark Jackson when he was playing for the Richmond Reserves - remember those days, a full house at Princes Park where you would watch the last half of the curtain raiser.

Jarusa - thats a different photo and "The Buzz" is on the way down - the one you have originally is by John Murie who was a photographer from the Truth and it won "The VFL's Picture of the Year award" in 1981 - I can e-mail it to you or if you have a copy of Carlton's 1981 Annual Report you can scan it from the back cover (which is what I did).

I remember both those games.

Yep, 12 goals in the first quarter against the Swans in 1982. There's a famous shot of Rod Carter leaning against a goal post, head bowed - I think it was from late in that quarter. (The following week we had a great win against Richmond, in a top of the table clash.)

The 14 straight against the dogs was a couple of years later. I remember that when whoever kicked the dreaded point all around me (in the Hawthorn Stand) were saying the player should be dragged.

Milburn's attack on Sos

The day Rohen Welsh was smashed into the ground

The day James Cook kicked 6 and Troy Bond kicked 5 and I thought - Wow, what a great forward line we're going to have

I hate Optus Oval and I'll only think negative thoughts about it until we burn it down
