A week ago Telstra people knocked on my door asking for me to swap over to Telstra, giving me all these special deals.

I would have definitely swapped over if it wasn't for the fact that Optus sponsor Carlton.

The added advantage for Optus was that when the Optus people came around a week later I gave them the information on what Telstra were offering and therefore gave them a heads up on what the competition was doing.

It is possible that I saved Optus hundreds of dollars by sticking tight with them.

Yet another reason why sponsors should get on board with Carlton.

Dan Murphys - the same - I always shop there for the beverages.

Nike... i don't do anything for them as they sponsor things that I believe aren't good value.. but at least the other two get value for money.

I am trying to think of other sponsors - one is a shoe company? ... but can't think of any more.

Actually, I used to be with Floptus and changed a few years ago when Vodafone had their no plans deals happening. Still with Vodafone but not so sure their deal is that good for me. Best look into Optus again I reckon.

I just recently changed from Optus to Virgin. If Optus wants to keep me then they can offer prices similar to Virgin. :-D

I just tell myself that Singtel is another of John Singleton's companies and reach a moral zen.

Sure its not correct, but I'll be damned if I'm switching from my month-to-month $49 cap... Its near impossible to use up the call credits on this baby!

It's Selling-out big time but............................................

How about something similar to what West Coast Fans do with the Hungry Jacks & Messages on hold signs in the Cheer Squad!

Could be worth holding up Optus and Dan Murphy signs?

Good Idea... one that has both Carlton on one side and Dan Murphy's on the other side of a flag or something...

It would be easier if all the sponsors could get together and provide one product for us all to buy.

Perhaps a phone that is also a bottle opener?

Sorry dane, but i think that's hypocritical. What if we sentenced a Singaporean to death on drugs charges? Would you kick up a stink and fuss about that?

Optus supporting the CFC... Good on them. :P

Optus outsourcing employment,Not so Australian.Hmmmmmmmmm :(

India, China, The Filipines..... Customer service hours, cut back, No Sundays, unless you're prepaid and the call goes through to Mumbai.. :?

Now i'm not being judgemental but this is the quality Sponsorship we have.

Oh well great for the shareholders $1.45 about 2and half years ago now $2.90... Optus Yes..... :P

Not that i'm ungrateful 8)

Good Luck to the people off shore filling these positions, i'm sure they need it . So good for them. Just unfortunate for those who are part of "healthy attrition " in Australia.

  :P
