How do we know it was Dennis' decision to axe him? I thought the board was running the show :P .

You're probably right.
He should resign in protest! :-D

In my opinion, Wiggins deserves to be on the list more than McGrath

The last time I checked our list this was the case.

Just on a side note - EVERY player who takes the field is contributing to our next premiership.

Just because they may not play in it doesn't mean they aren't contributing towards it: whether it be by showing a young kid a new trick, protecting someone from a hit, being injured and allowing a rookie in as an LTI ... the butterfly effect is in effect.

Carry on.

Corey McGrath is a genuinely nice person.

He put in to the club as much, if not more than most of the players on our list. He prepared in a totally professional manner and was often the last to leave the track.

He was never going to survive long term at the Blues because he was in the fringe group of players.

However, he is a VERY honest, hardworking and genuinely loyal person. If he says something about the club, I would sit up and take notice.

He does not deserve to be put in the same basket as Beaumont, Manton & Campo as some have suggested.

He was delisted whilst on his honeymoon. Amongst many others, he invited a club legend to his wedding - the legend did not RSVP. Corey & Renee paid for 2 extra in case the club legend & wife turned up. The legend did not attend the wedding. The club legend was involved in the decision to delist Corey. It seems that he couldn't bring himself to go to the wedding knowing that delisting was imminent. The club legend has not made contact with Corey since returning from the honeymoon and being delisted despite the "friendship" which had existed.

On this basis alone, I think that Corey has every right to be a bit pissed with the club & its admin/board.

regards
Ockham

Cloke wasn't at Carlton when we delisted him.

Also, Cory can't play in the ruck or key position, ...

Looks like Corey & Cloke have something in common then

WOW!!

I think he's telling us something we already know or suspected.

He's worth listening to, given he's been closer to the know than any on TC.

It's not good what he says...none of it...and I consider his statements as a true reflection of what is going on at the club rather than sour grapes.

Over the course of a year I'm sure the off field crap permeates its way to the players' psyche.

Piss them all off and start again with a clean sheet now, because I do not want this board crap happening in the middle of 2008 or 2009 when our momentum is driving the club to its rightful position...premiership glory.

Cood luck Cory, you were tough and a good lead on the field, but I think you got the most out of your career, and I believed 2006 was going to be your last at CFC, (and I'm no expert).
