Interesting - 54% at the moment expect to be surprised for the better, and 14% are worried.

That's pretty good for on-field. I wonder if our Board / managament / brandname were all sorted whether we'd be a show to get above 32,000 members given this expectation?

Can you "expect to be surprised"? If you expect it, how is it a surprise?

I guess if your expectations are repeatedly pummelled into submission they get lowered. And lowered. And then all you can hope for is some silver lining. Maybe in 2007 we expect that silver lining?

I expect to be surprised this year because I don't know which youngsters will come through and I don't know when. I don't hope to be surprised anymore because there are so many good youngsters that are coming through - that will have to get a chance in 2007 with so many of the go-to's moving on - that it's beyond hope.

I expect to be surprised but I don't know how it's going to look.

We are not going anywhere while the club is run in this way, starting from the top down.

That's the problem though Surrey, we could end up somewhere...
