But thats the beauty of the competition isnt it.Form is so fickle. One week a rooster, the next a feather duster.Injuries play a huge part in it.Saints will get rolled again next week and they will become the next side in the hot seat. This time next week it will be Thommo answering the hard questions.

We are far better than yesterdays calamity and a win or two can change the whole complexion of your season.Gunna be a lot more hiccups before this season is over.

Come on man, BM's just trying to inject a bit of humour into the situation.

Let's not all become chronic grumblebums okay?

Gave me a warm feeling, Blue Mark, like pissing in me wetsuit.
Sadly they beat us (their only win) and they have injuries and we have to play most of the top teams yet.
But it was a devilish pleasure listening to those insanely biased Perth commentators go for it.
Happy Mothers day to the Pies fans hope she gets paroled soon.
let's pray for a strong draft and Ken Wood is permanently blinded when Leigh Matthews smiles at him and says "rent money is dead money".

At least that makes Monday bearable.

Pies by 112 and the Blues by 85... The AFL couldn't be happier...

Its a pity the Pies-Dockers game wasn't on FTA in Melbourne for all the Pies fans to see....

AFL won't be too happy to see the big 3 out of the finals.

Agree totally...the focus should be red hot on us...but will now be diluted...shame....having seen a bit of the freo game don't think the woods were as bad as we were...they were being beaten...we were doing nothing

Theres an old Greek-Cypriot saying that the arsehole in charge of the AFL should be more than familiar with - doesnt translate that well but I am sure you will get the general drift:

"Eheses mes to tihani tora na tes fas"

translated:

"You shit in the frypan now go ahead and eat it".

blueworld you are wrong mate, the AFL will be ecstatic the big three are down the arse end.

The AFL have a vision. It is this.

We want no 3 or 4 powerhouse clubs in melbourne. We do not want the same 4 Victorian clubs competing year after year. We want a rotation system. Up for 3 down for 3 rising for 3 up for 3 down for 3 and so on.....

For some years now they have wanted to get the 3 powerful clubs down the arse end and they have done it. Dimwit can stand tall and say 'see this competition is no fair and equal and flat...flat like a deadman's monitered heart_______________________________

Two reasons. Pleases the poorer clubs. And diminsishes the 4 clubs stranglehold on the victorian population. in the end the AFL want Victorian supporters, not Bluebaggers, nor Filth nor Scum.

Oh and the AFL have a different vision for Interstaters!

BW, Dannyboy understood what I meant and pretty much hit the nail on the head on how the AFL are thinking at moment in regards to Victorian teams. They wouldn't won't to see Sydney and Brisbane have too many bad years out of the finals. No good for the national comp...

Big 3 struggling means lower crowds, lower TV ratings, less $. Same applies to Sydney & Brisbane who are also struggling so it's bad everywhere. What do they want Geelong- St K getting crowds of 45,000 or the big 3 getting crowds of 60-70,000 (or more when they're going well)?

big four not being near a premiership opens up the southern suburbs (stKilda) western suburbs(bulldogs) richmond ( have a few supporters that need to get into footy again) sydney( big market)
You dont open the game up by having the big four winning all the time.. this actually suits the AFL in the long term because they need to find new markets.. (nationwide) or rekindle the hearts of supporters who havent had a look in for years....
Its just plain as the nose on elliotts face that the AFL would be cracking open the Moet with all this.

Plus why is it that the traditionally strong clubs are down??
Is it because they couldnt read the igns and were going up the wrong path with how they were preparing for the future???
