Thanks to slow_mo we now have an extra 3 years ticked off the lis of years needed (1990, 1993, 1995).

The search is still on the the rest of the collection though.

Is it in your cupboard, in the shed, under the bed? If you have a CFC team picture for one of the following years please either upload it to the Blueseum or PM me and we can work out how to get it online.

The years now NEEDED are:

1864 1865 1866 1867 1869
1870 1872 1873 1875 1876 1877 1878 1879
1882 1883 1884 1885 1886 1888 1889
1891 1892 1893 1894 1895 1897 1898 1899
1900 1901 1902 1903 1904 1905
1911 1914 1916 1917 1919
1920 1924 1925 1926 1928
1930 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 1937 1939
1940 1942 1943 1944 1946 1948 1949

1971 1973 1974 1975 1977 1978
1980 1985 1986
1991 1996

What's the deal with the lack of team pictures in this decade, Jarusa?

Are they 'not done' anymore?

Aren't many of the team photos actually hanging on walls at Princess Park? Would the club not want these scanned into digital format anyway? If the club doesn't have some of the photos what about the players themselves? I'd imagine Robert Walls and Stephen Silvagni (Serge) could help the club out as they'd possibly have team photos from their eras. The club could send out a request for past players to get in touch to help out.

I know it's radical.....just a thought.

Great idea spf.

How about we start with an article 'From the blueseum' that I can put together asking for assistance with the relevant team pictures. If that fails maybe we can approach Past Players Assocation,

If it is team pics, just go to this page:

http://www.blueseum.org/cfc/tiki-browse ... alleryId=1

Then click on the 'upload image' button at the top of the page.

The rest should be self-explanatory, if you have any trouble let me know and I can help out, my email addy is jarusa at iinet dot net dot au.

Thanks TCblue.

I have seen the same picture labelled as the 1887 team in one of the Carlton history books.

http://www.blueseum.org/cfc/tiki-browse ... mageId=337

Would love to know which one is correct?

Who knows which is correct. That came from "The Blues" book by Tim
Hewat.
I was surprised that it was in that book, and you didnt have it.
If we can get some others close to that year the uniform may give us a clue.
In the 1881 picture they had the striped socks, but a different uniform.
We may never know.

By the way. There does not seem to be upload box on the Teams gallery,
like on the other galleries.

Thanks mate, I do have that book. I remember now from compiling this list that 3 or 4 pictures have been given different years in different books (even within the same book if you carefully look at 'BlueBoys' ). For most of these I have been able to determine the correct year. Have not for this one though, I will make some enquiries with a CFC historian I know.

With regards to uploading, my apologies, I did not know that was the case, I have fixed up the gallery now so that the upload box appears.

Thanks Deano,

I actually politely asked that guy yesterday if he could supply a high res copy of the pic for the Blueseum.

He said no, I had to buy it. :(

$20 is a bit expensive for something cut out of a newspaper I reckon.

Yeah I know... I'd be surprised if it stays at that price to be honest.
