For a gumby like myself, what does this mean? Is it a good thing, a bad thing or neither?

First things Deano,

you are not the only Gumby! The more this goes on, the more I get confused. Who is in who's camp? Who is positioning for what? Who is challenging, and who is actually just coming on board as a buddy?

Unless you are close to the Board these days, then it is all too hard to work out what is happening - who sits where and with whom.

I must be a gumby as well, but I heard this morning from a well connected source that the supposed coup is gathering momentum.

Maybe it will happen on a friday...who knows. My intell indicates that a former board member has finally put his hand up and has gathered a group capable of righting the ship.

Apparently the AFL have been been briefed of the intention...Let me just say that his initials remind me of a music medium. I bought one for my wife for Xmas. Wonder if it is the same individual that the Sailorman and others have been referring to. Time will tell.

Watch this space!! :?

CD? Mr De Lutis? We've gone down the track of recycled players with spectacular lack of success, are we doing the same with Board members. He was Elliott's right hand man as we ran up an $8m debt and got done for salary cap, and refused to rebuild the team. Is that it? Is that the Messiah we have all been waiting for? What a disappointment?

Or is it an Ipod BB? Can't think of anyone with those initials.

Gerry, I'm not say De Lutis is a saint :P , he may be an arrogant tosser and he did call us all white ants, but he was only on the board for 5 minutes - you can hardly paint him with that brush and hold him responsible for the $8million debt.

Nothing like making your mind up before you have heard anything from anyone. I am a lot wiser person now than I was 5 years ago. All I can say is that what I have seen so far will not take the club anywhere.
We need a viable alternative so don't be to quick to judge.

I'd go back and read some of my posts if it helps...particularly the ones involving Bruce Mathieson. A loss to the club - but a necessary exit and one that's been coming for a long while. Bruce will be at the Gold Coast game against the Kangas next year if you'd like to thank him in person...he's the one with way too much gold jewelery for a man in his 60's.

Valmorbida's exit is a little more complex - I am not in the position to comment on that one as I don't know the exact circumstances - Synbad has commented on this in the past.

Simon Wilson (Q.C) will be pushing for Valmorbida's VP position - he certainly means well - but is not of the ilk we need.

We'll certainly know more about proceedings and challenges once the date for the AGM is announced...rumour that Smorgon will call for it earlier than March in an effort to foil the potential challengers momentum - I'm not so sure.

If Colin DeLutis wants back in - the first thing he should do if he were smart should be to apologise to members for calling them white ants.....some have long memories.

I'm a little worried that Jack's son, Tim, wants a spot on the board.

Could he be Jack's ticket back on to the board at a later stage?

Wasn't Jack banned in the Supreme Court from being a Director or being on the Board of any companies?
