Gerry I would rather Michael Griffiths. Ready to play who is a genuine ruckman. Cloke has been tested and found not to be of AFL standard Michael has not. As a backup to Ackland and McLaren ... shit yeh give the kid a go and we might be surprised.

Seriously, why do we bother? If we are to be a club vying to play in the finals and ultimately a premiership then hacks have no place in our club. We should be ridding ourselves of them, not inviting more in... :?

If we offer two years to Cloke after knocking back Bears two year request I will be pissed.
No, we shouldnt have bowed to Bears request ( he didnt deserve it ) but we have a habit of throwing longer contracts to new guys rejected from other clubs, while hardballing our own over contract lengths

Ok, Bryan might have been lazy and reluctant to pull his weight - but how on Earth can you compare Cloke with him??

Cloke, is a hack - and although I'd love him to prove me wrong, I think he will prove it in the few games he will play in the Navy Blue in 07 before getting shafted at the end of the year...

All the best at Williamstown Bryan. Two years should get you a few games for the gulls.

Bryan was nobbled by Collingwood and put totally unrealistic terms to Carlton.
We cant pay a guy well over the odds when he's not worth it.
At least now we have someone who wants an opportunity at Carlton.

I don't think CC necessarily wanted an opportunity at Carlton - I think he just wanted an opportunity...

Eh, good luck to him.

Just on SEN. No idea why he only got the 5 games. Says nothing wrong with his attitude. We had too few injuries.

Yep that made me laugh I must say....if they have enough injuries, maybe I'll get a game....actually in 2002 I took my boots to every game I went to....

He sure was uninspiring.....showed a tiny tad of interest about the Lexus Centre and that was about it.............unenthusiastic.

I couldn't work out why we let him walk when we were short ruckman - then I heard that interview :?

When you're playing in the bottom side and you can't break into the team, you probably shouldn't expect a healthy 2 year deal.

Good luck to him and Collingwood - I'm sure they'll be happy together. Will Eddie blame Shawry for this one in coming years  .

Correct me if I wrong but didn't Bear have Collingwood family connections and he trainied or Rookied "down" there and they ar$ed him already. Now they offer him two years for a guy with no intensity whatsoever. I just don't get it with Bryan, young Sam Jacobs is a better prospect if they want to preserve Fraser.

The Bear has a pretty good sporting pedigree actually. His mum represented Australia at netball. His grandad played for the Pies(dont ask me his name) and he is the grand nephew of the mighty Dick Lee.

Nothing wrong with his attitude.Upstumped himself from Frankston and moved close to PP.Improved himself in every facet.I attend a fair few training sessions and he did everything .I agree that he is a bit of a loper, but he still completed every training session.I defy anyone to tell me where he actually cheated or took a shortcut. There got this thing about attitude down there, which as far as i am concerned is a bit about sucking up and talkin the talk.Too much character assesments for mine. Its good in theory, but get in the real world.Classic example is Fev.They wanted to get rid of him because of questionable attitude........Ya gotta be joking.Dream on.Footballers are no differant than the rest of us,except they are brilliant at footy. Some are just plain naughty boys, but that dont make 'em bad.Just mad.Met Fev away from footy, and he is a very likeable fella.Anyhow, getting back to Bear.I'll be frank,i hope he sticks it up us.

If there was Nothing wrong with his attitude why did he only play 5 games?

If Cam Cloke sucks so much (as many people on this site agree), then why did we pick him up?

These questions cannot be answered by those of us whom are not privy to this sort of info... but I'll let you in on something - the wrong attitude does not necessarily equate to not getting a game.
