Looks good at this point - hopefully it's a few people coming back as they see the excitement in the team, and not just the mainstream Bluebaggers signing up early. Although that doesn't hurt....

extremely pleasing, getting toward 9,000 signed up before Gibbs arrives is a very good sign.

I think the Club has been processing membership renewals earlier this year. I know that in previous years, renewals weren't sent out until November, and they weren't processed till Janurary. This has all been happening 2 months earlier this year.

From the Carlton site:

"The day also proved to be very successful for Carlton’s Membership Department also, signing up nearly 100 Members, taking the 2007 figure past 10,000 Members reaching the mark two weeks prior to the Christmas target."

Fantastic news . . . I can't remember us ever reaching this figure before Christmas. (could be wrong)

How does this compare historically???

Currently sitting on 11,526.

Not too shabby given our off field woes.

"I will only Sign if They can Gurantee me that Carlton will make the Finals ". This is what i told a recruitment guy before signing up. He looked at me with a smile and said " Well sir, i can defaintely Gurantee you that We will NOT be making the finals until perhaps 08 or 09, take it or leave it ".

I liked the man's honesty so i Signed up for a Social Club membership, looking forward to spending some good time at the footy :)

I know that Hawthorn are behind us, a friend of mine works there - said they were late in getting their forms in the mail.
