Probably means that we wont pick the Berger with No. 1.

I always expected the club to go for the best available experienced ruckman. Can't go into the season without one. Unfortunately he was probably the best available.

Also assume that the club found that no rally good players in general are availble in PSD (assume they did their homework and sounded a lot of players out which were out of contract).

...& that we should have another no.1 pick in 2007

I would imagine one of the "backup" rucks would have to be be delisted now, wouldnt they ? ( ie Bryan). Obviously there is going to be nothing left in the PSD if we have commited this early, seems bloody strange.

With that in mind it's a reasonable move... looking over all the delistings by other clubs it's doubtful there'll be an Eddie Betts-type situation.
