Near on 50,000 at the Dome tonight in seated comfort. How many would have turned up at OO for the same game? 18,000-21,000 maybe Max.

Well done to the CFC Board to have the courage of their convictions and well done the supporters for geting along on mass.

Regards Cazzesman

Just picked this up off Big Footy

Best Home & Away Crowds at the Dome.
53,312 Kangaroos v Collingwood Docklands 2003
52,539 St Kilda v Brisbane Lions Docklands 2004

I think it was a touch over 49,000 tonight.

Regards Cazzesman

Would have been 49,022 if it wasn't for "Greek Easter".

Yeah, what was that Demetriscum ??? We dont deserve big-game status anymore???? Stick it where the sun dont shine. Although it would be hard, you would have to remove Adrian Anderson and Ron Evans heads first. Cmon Blues supporters (and Tiges). Lets get more people at the MCG next week than St Kilda and Geelong get at the dome. That will make the bastards sit up and take notice. Blockbusters are earned and built over a number of years/decades. Not manufactured by the Gestapo.

Fantastic crowd. As I said in another thread, lets all Blues supporters (along with Bitchmond) get to the MCG and outdo the Saints/Cats game at the Dome. That would make the bastards think twice before giving away our blockbuster status

Can I ask what % of fans would have been Carlton and what % Hawthorn at the game?

Carlton are currently 3rd overall for crowds, about 35K behind the filth and the scum. A big crowd against the Tigers will go some way towards bridging that gap.

I reckon Hawks were 40% or so. Great credit to Hawks fans. Team is not travelling the best but they come out in droves to support their team. Reckon theor long term future on and off the field is set.

Certainly not visually, I could count the number of flags not on the cheer squad on one hand

Talking about cheer squads I was sitting near the Hawks one and the main chant-starter must have been close to 40 years old. Give it a rest buddy. Leave the cheer squads for teengaers and very young adults. Bit creepy and sad to see a guy that age leading the chants
