Yep he's out of contract.

Blackwell, Raso, Russell and Hartlett would also be out of contract, assuming standard draft contracts.

True...not none of them will be delisted.

We still need 2 or 3 more definites that are out of contract AND going to be delisted.

Davies might be one. The other possiblities are Bannister (don't think he will be let go), Bryan (ditto), McGrath (ditto), Wiggins (ditto), Saddington (probably has another year on contract), Sporn, Teague, Deluca.

So that leaves the following that will be gone...

French
Chambers
Longmuire
Livingston

And 2 or 3 of...

Davies
Prenda
Sporn
Teague (prob came on a 2 year contract in 2004, did he sign another 2 year deal before this seson?)
Deluca (also started in 2004. May have another year?)

Teague and Deluca both have another year.

I'd like Teague gone too. Don't forget the possibility of rookie elevations and the PSD pick Siegfried...

The rest of the uncontracted must be trade bait.

Fish, Betts, Waite and Fev are the only players contracted beyond 2007.

A question: Can we take Raso of our primary list and put him onto the Rookie list?

Not without putting him through a draft process and risk losing him. ie you have to delist and then try to recruit him back.

There's alot more 'experienced players' I'd cut before even thinking of doing that.

You'd think Jackson would be a near certainty to be promoted, he's put up the performances and the body should be ready come round 1.

Smith I'm much less keen on.

Agree here, I just can't see where he fits with Blackers, Bentick and possibly some new mids come draft day fighting for similar positions.

I can't even find room for Benitck. :?

Not even in the rotation ?

He may not be a long term option ( I believe he will be ) but he will be good cannon fodder for the younger guys while their bodies develope.

He'd be a career back-up in the NFL.

I know he's got heart, but until he can dish the ball out at a reasonable level each and every week, I'd rather have Walker in there.

Couldn't find room for Kouta and Lappin in my projected 22 either.

Denis doesn't use rotation!!! It's one thing that i've noticed a lot over the finals matches I saw at the 'G'. Sitting behind the interchange - it's amazing how often 'some' teams rotate!! West Coast were rotating whenever the ball was on the members wing (every time!!!!). It's really something i want to see happen more at the blues.

Doing what Jim?
Walker plays a completely different game to Bentick. If you're flicking Bentick, who is going to perform his role?

(Please dont say Blackwell, he's not ready physically to play that position)

BTW, how can we have so many players who are not worthy of a spot still contracted?
Absolutely pathetic list management. :?

They don't have to spend time on the pine to be part of a rotation.

I'd take the risk ... Raso hasn't shown much in the Bullants.
