If you gave a hundred monkeys a hundred typewriters.............

Fairdinkum, people are putting together EVERY possible permutation and combination, and stating them as "good mail" or "a good source said" or "a player told me".

Now eventually, one of them will be right. This is what modern "journalism" has become.

Hey guys, I bet I can tell what letter your name starts with in less than 27 guesses!!!! Really, I can. How much do you want to bet?

Mitchell has been made the scapegoat and it well might happen and lucky Stkilda...thought Mitchell handled the media well during last weeks fiasco and came out of the whole deal with his credibility intact..
Would have been easy for him to blame others and give the club/media a bake but he held his nerve well and credit to him...

The way CFC is at the moment, Mitch SHOULD get the hell out of the place!

We could be making positive changes, bringing in a new coach with fresh ideas, instead we have a rabble of a board who decide to stick with a rusty coach who has run out of ideas!

Barry Mitchel is a diseased and dirty tip rat..... He has got away with this scott free.

From what i been told the best for this club to do is get rid of Mitchel. He got many on his side playing Mr Nice guy...... he is so good that after he made his presentation to the board they realised just how much of a fool the man is.

For 3 months they Sticks, Bear, Mitchel and Malouf went behind Denis's back. Mitchel got the senior players on his side, he got French and Stevo to voice there concerns to Malouf who then brought there comments up at board level.

One director was gob smacked when told they only going to interview Mitchel and only Mitchel. He then realised what was going on and that Sticks, Bear, Mitchel and Malouf had been trying to push Denis out the door.

It led to a board room spat on tuesday night when brought up.

Denis offered SOS a position as part of his coaching staff simply because he knew all the older blokes look upto SOS.

Sunday the players were all together at a pub. From what i gather there was alot of support for Denis. Some of the younger blokes have not lost respect for Denis but have lost respect for some players like Skinny and Stevo by the way they handled a particular situation involving Denis and the lack of acknowledgment shown by him to some players who he found out have sided with Mitchel.

Hope to hear more soon

Sorry mate, but we the players and fair dinkum suppoters were all at Optus Oval to attend to the players BBQ.
You of course are entitled to your opinion on Mitchel, as I am. Pagan is yesterdays man and can't keep up with todays changes. We do need a coach with modern ideas and IMO Mitchel would far outstrip old faddy-daddy.

You FOOLS!!!

Just why exactly CAN'T Denis "keep up with today's brand"?

He is smarter then a lot of you guys give him credit for.

Whilst in charge of our players, we as supporters should keep the faith in the coach.

I think a lot on this site are letting much of the negative ongoings (mostly derived from the press) get in the way of the actual situation.

Just because a thousand people agree on something, doesn't mean it's true.

It would be fantastic if more people focused on the roses rather than the thorns. However difficult that perhaps is for some people to grasp...

You could be right BlueJean but how would we know? How would we know if things are going to plan if we dont know what the plan is? Without that, how can we keep faith after 4 years at the bottom and a decline from 2005 to 2006?

Melvey, thanks for your input. Just so I understand, is it your view that Mitchell is a backstabber because he wants the top job, saw an opening given our horrid performances in 2006 (some hidden behind a 9 man defence) and talked the talk with some / all of the players to try to get Pagan removed?

I wouldn't know either way and from a distance its hard to work out what is what with the Coaches, how they relate, what they do. All I can see is us tactically floundering at times, lots of kicking and decision making errors and an administration (incl. Coach) who are saying nothing to provide confidence for 2007.
